As we wake up in your room

A/N: Sorry the updates are so slow right now, I'm kind of focused on one of my other stories called My Father's Daughter (also a Vic's daughter story). I'm almost done with that though (at least I think) and I'll get back on this one right after.

I'm not a morning person, like who is? But I am a food person, and that by far overrides my detest for mornings. I can practically hear the lucky charms calling my name.

I liked Vic's room, though. The curtains were thick and didn't let light in in the morning as the sun decided to rise right out that window. It was only right but like I said, I was hungry. I got up and went downstairs. No one was up yet and Vic was still asleep on the couch. Lucky charms lucky charms. I searched through the cabinets until I found my favorite red box.

After I got breakfast I sat in the chair in the living room since Vic stole the couch. I just stared at him as I shoveled cereal into my mouth until he woke up. How is he such a heavy sleeper? I'm not being particularly quiet. I was full but I still had a few lucky charms left. I smirked and put one on my spoon. Hey boredom gets the better of me sometimes, and Vic is very entertaining in the morning. I flung the piece at Vic and it landed in his hair. He didn't move. I tried again and it hit the back of the couch. Dammit! I tried one more time and it hit his nose. He jumped and scrunched up his nose. I smiled in success. Vic groaned and opened his eyes.

"Good morning!" I said full of sunshine and daisies. He smiled sleepily and rubbed his eyes.

"Did you just shoot me with cereal?" He asked. I nodded.

"Absolutely!" He chuckled and sat up, groaning in pain. "What?"

"Last night you kneed me." I laughed.

"Really? Haha, where?" Vic blushed and looked away.

"Um...not important..." He said. I cringed.

"Ouch." He nodded and stood up. I held out my bowl to him so he would take it back for me. Vic rolled his eyes but took it and wander back into the kitchen like a zombie. "You have a lucky charm in your hair by the way."

"I have to make a stop after your doctor's appointment." I jumped up and bounced around the kitchen.

"Why, where're you going? Got a date?" I asked all perky. Wow, I'm becoming more of a morning person. Or maybe it was just the marshmallows. Vic snapped his head up.

"What? No! I have to stop at the school and get new enrollment forms since I know you well enough to assume you burned the last ones." I smirked.

"Well, I just ripped them up but..."

"Yeah, whatever."

"But Vic why do I have to go to school? It's so boring!" I whined. I clinged to his arm and followed him around as he made breakfast for himself.

"Jo, I told you, I'm not fighting with you about this--"

"Good! Then it's settled, I won't go."

"But I will if I have to. You're going." I groaned dramatically.

"But I don't want to!" I laid on the floor all sprawled out.

"Oh, that's convincing..." Vic rolled his eyes. I kicked him.

"I don't like your sass."

"I'll stop if you make this easy and go to school." Maybe I could negotiate myself out.

"What if I get expelled?" I suggested.

"There's tons of other schools in the area don't worry."

"What about on tour? What am I supposed to do then?" I asked, standing up again. He dropped some eggs in a pan.

"There's online classes which I'm making sure you take." I shoved him out of the way and took his spatula. "Jo! What are you doing!?"

"Waiting for your eggs to burn." I stood in front of the stove so he couldn't flip his eggs. He rolled his eyes and tried to push me out of the way. I stood my ground and held up the spatula in defense.

"Jo, get out of the way." He ordered. I could tell he was getting annoyed.

"I'm not going to school."

"Yes you are."

"Your eggs are burning." Mike came bounding down the stairs.

"Hey you two! Jo! It's so good to wake up and you still be here!" He said cheerfully. He came over to me and lifted me up in a bear hug.

"Nonono! Mike!" Vic smirked and took the spatula out of my hand. He flipped his eggs and put them on a plate. I sighed and Mike put me down.

"What are you two fighting about now?" Mike groaned.

"He's trying to make me go to school!" I complained, poking a finger towards Vic. Mike cringed.

"Eeewww!"

"Mike she needs to go to school." Vic crossed his arms and I pouted.

"Well Jo, you do need education." He agreed.

"YOU TRAITOR!" He shrugged.

"Ask Cali if she's going back to school. I bet Collin will go if you do." Vic suggested.

"But he also won't if I don't." I pointed out. Vic rolled his eyes and I looked around. "What happened to him anyway?"

"He's in the guest room." Mike said. I shrugged. The phone rang and I ran to answer it.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Hey, is this Jo?"

"Yup!" I said.

"Hi it's uh, Jenny..."

"Oh yeah, hey Jen! What's up?" I asked as I walked over to the living room and plonked down on the couch.

"Um, not much...I was wondering if you would still want to hang out?" She asked timidly.

"Yeah of course! I can't right now I have to go see if I'm bipolar but maybe around three do you want to meet at the coffee shop down town?"

"What? You're bipolar?"

"Not sure... My doctor thinks so and so does my dad but that's why we're going in today; to find out."

"Oh, okay. Well yeah, three at the coffee shop sounds good."

"Okay, cool." I stood up and started walking back to put the phone away since it seemed like the conversation was almost over. "And Jenny?" I asked.

"Yeah?"

"Are you okay?" I was concerned that she never called until now.

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine." She sighed. I smiled.

"Alright, well I'll see you later?"

"Yup! See you. Bye!"

"Bye." I hung up and put the phone back on the stand. I sighed and turned to the kitchen. Vic and Mike were standing there staring at me. I gave them a "what" look and the turned away. "Were you guys eavesdropping on me!?"

"No of course not." Vic said. I stared him down. "But you were right we do need to leave soon." He said. He pranced off to his room to get dressed and left me pouting at the fact that he was obviously listening to me. I sighed and ran up to my room to get ready as well. I put on some shorts and I was just about to put my shirt on when my door opened. "Jo are ready?" Vic asked in a childish voice as he poked his head through my door. He seemed unphased at the fact that I was in a bra but I didn't care.

"Yeah, Vic, I'm ready." I said with an attitude since I was obviously not. I pushed past him and started down the stairs as I pulled my shirt over my head.

"Jo please don't fall..." Vic said as he watched me walk down the stairs blinded by my shirt.

"I'm fine..." I muttered. I successfully reached the bottoms of the stairs and started walking to the door. I forgot about the couch... I walked into the end of it rather quickly and flipped over it. "Ow." Someone walked up to me and yanked the shirt down so I could see again. Vic shook his head and pulled my arm.

"Come on, let's go."
