Although Eastside Academy has been abandoned for years, it is still well talked about. The relentless rumours about death and strange disappearances continue to spread within the Hardwood community. Upon hearing these stories, a determined Jackie decides to venture into the old schoolhouse, risking her life to be with her late family. Unfortunately for her, she soon realizes that the people who 'live' at Eastside, won't actually give her what she wants. Instead, she discovers that this gang is actually a slave company and she's going to be forced to work on a farm. While she waits to be bought, Jackie resides with Harry - - a slightly awkward gang member who happens to crave freedom just as much as she does.
