I can't believe last night happened. It hasn't gone into my brain yet, hasn't zoomed through the nerves and whatnot. And yet I wake the next morning hearing his laughter in my head.

I prop my head up, turn around, about to tell Josh a good morning. My hand brushes something dry and flaky, a familiar feeling.

Looking down, I realise. Scattered around me are hundreds and hundreds of dried lavender plants.

But that's not the only thing.

Josh's straw bedding is empty.

He's gone.

I think last night made me realise just how many few magical moments there are. When they come you don't realise it, but when they're gone it hits you like a bullet, tearing your very being.

I am in a daze; Maisie is gone too.

The liar. Josh.

He's a liar.

Don't forget to press that star on the bottom left if liked. It'll be greatly appreciated! :)
