camila's pov
I walk down the hall to Lexi's room, I slowly open the door to her room to see that she is wide awake sitting in her crib just talking to herself, as I looked more I could see Rebecca's blue fish and I stood in the door frame for a while and watched her, before  I walked more into her room  walking over more to her crib and lowering the crib bars.

"Good Morning Cutie" I said to the newly two year old as I picked her from her crib as she let out a little yawn, as I was setting her on top of my baby bump as she put her head on my shoulder. I walked out of her room to back to our room, right when we walk into the room Lexi sees Matthew sitting on the bed on his phone.

"Daddy" Lexi said softly to her dad as he gets up from his place on the bed and taking the very tried newly two year old from my arms.

After Matthew took Lexi from my arms and gently placed her on the bed. I felt a sudden I feel a wave of nausea rush over me, I put my hand over my mouth and quickly. I slowly pushed the bathroom door open and emptied the contents of my stomach into the toilet. I quickly wash my mouth out with water and grab my toothbrush from its place. before walking back to into the room with Lexi and Matthew and sitting on the bed with them.

"You okay love?" Matthew said in a worried voice.

"Yeah, it's probably something the baby didn't like every much." I told him taking a seat on the king sized bed next to Matthew as Lexi she crawled up to her dad and curled herself up into his chest she slowly fell back to his arms.

"I don't think she actually knows it's her party today" I told Matthew softly trying not to wake up Lexi.

"Maybe we can try to explain it to her simply?" Matthew says softly while not taking his eyes off Lexi.

I nod my head slowly, "yeah we can try to" Lexi starts to stir in Matthew's arms and her chocolate  brown eyes open quickly. She looks up at her dad smiling poking his cheek repeatedly. I take out my phone recording the moment as my boyfriend looks semi uncomfortable but I laugh and remind him that it's for the memories.

"Lex, do you know what today is?" Matthew asks his daughter excitedly.

Lexi furrows her eyebrows before saying, "No" and looks at her dad confused.

"It's your birthday which is a celebration of the day you came to mummy and daddy. So, we are having a party that's all about you!" Matthew says to Lexi who smiles brightly.

"Party!" she says clapping her hands and giggling,

"Yes, princess a party" I say grabbing her from Matthew and kissing her forehead before setting her onto my lap.

"Becca come?" Lexi says with a look of hope on her face.

My heart sinks into my stomach and I can feel tears start to form. I attempt to speak but nothing comes out. All I can feel is the same ache in my chest that I felt the day Rebecca was taken. It's always been there ever since but it was more dull. But now it's like a knife is stabbing my chest.

"She might Lex" I told her trying to give her, knowing fully Rebecca isn't coming but I didn't wanna hurt the two year old on her birthday .Lexi nodded her head.

The door starts to open slowly then it quickly I thought it was matthew coming back into the room, but as the door opened more I saw my mom walked into the room.

"Abuela!" Lexi yelled at my mom as she got up from my lap and walked to the end of the bed jumping into my moms arms.

"Mija, you've gotten so big" my mom said to Lexi as she just looked at her with a strange look on her face.

" Abuela yeah I big girl!" Lexi says to my mom really excited.

I laugh at their interaction, walking toward the two not noticing the look of concern on my mom's face. She hands Lexi over to my dad and the two of them go outside.
