2. The Shadow

I was standing in front of the big building, for some reason I didn't want to enter the school. I still felt dizzy and I had started to see everything like it was moving in front of me. "Calm down, calm down" I said to myself, as I usually did. But suddenly I saw that shadow again, I tried to see it better but it just disappeared. "This is weird..." I said, and hesitated. But I thought, should I follow it? I turned to the school and turned again to the place where the shadow had been. "If I do it, I'll miss school and the exam..." I bit my lip and finally ran to the other direction.

I ran through the place, suddenly watching something in my peripheral vision, and followed it. "I think I'm lost." I sighed, shielding my eyes with my hand from the sun rays. I was now walking on the forest. There were many trees around. Green everywhere but a hint of darkness was covering the place.

I sat besides a tree. I wasn't feeling anything, no fear, no nothing. Who was this shadow? What is it doing here? Why it was following me? I had so many questions. I decided to grab my great-grandmother's book from my bag, why did I even brought it?. "Should I open it?" I said. I'll be honest, I really was scared to open it again, what if something strange happened? And I'm actually not sure if I did kill that man, this is scary.

I felt something in my back. I stayed there, without moving "Is it the shadow?" I thought. Slowly, I turned around, seeing a boy, I don't know, maybe my age, with a black hoodie and a dark blue mask. I stayed there in shock, it looked like... he didn't had eyes, just two deep black holes into nothingness. I screamed as he grabbed me and pinned my arms on the floor. My hat fell and I was now breathing heavily, I didn't know what to do. "Think Blair, think, you need to do something" I thought. Then, reacting to the first thing that came to my mind, I kicked his face with my foot and stood up as quickly as I could. I started to move back, hitting myself with a tree. Suddenly I felt my eyes weird and I just stared at him. "Who are you!?" I said nearly screaming. But he didn't answer and just kept staring. My heart was pounding hard, I could feel it in my ears, everywhere. I needed to do something, but my dizziness from before came back, starting to see everything blurry. The boy started to move weirdly in my vision until I fell and everything was dark.

I woke up to a blurry face in front of me. For a moment I couldn't hear anything just a ringing in my ears, but slowly it started to disappear and I could see everything again. "Hey, she finally woke up!" I finally heard. Startled I sat up quickly and moved back. But now, there were two boys.
