Part Two - Beautiful

I took the chicken out of the oven, and Jughead and I smelled the deliciousness. "It looks beautiful." I exclaimed. We still couldn't explain our excitement on how we were going to have a baby! Jughead already wanted to look for cribs, but I told him I wanted to wait. He must've been so excited that he called every friend we knew! So Archie, Veronica, my parents and siblings, his parents and siblings, practically everyone knew and were pregnant with our second child.

I placed the chicken in the middle of the table and asked him "Do you think it's a boy or a girl?".
He stared At the wall.
"It's going to be a girl" he said.
"When are we going to tell Bella." He asked. Bella walked into the room,
"tell me what?" She asked.

We sat at the table and ate. Jughead grabbed my hand and we both looked at Bella.

"You're going to be a big sister." We said.

At first she was blank, but then a grin appeared on her face like it did on the grinch but this grin was beautiful . "I'm so excited." She said. She continuously asks questions, what's their name? Is it a boy or a girl? Who will look like it more? Can it share a room with me? Every answer we had was, "I don't know!" The Questions we're getting a bit annoying, but I had sympathy for her. If I found out I was going to have a sister, I would be curious too...

We had dinner earlier that night, around five. Jughead has to get to the Twilight Drive-In for opening night. I was so proud of him. I was disappointed that I couldn't go though, I have to stay home and take care of Bella. But I would do that any day too, because I love her just as much.

Bella and I had our normal night routine, and she went to bed. I stayed up a bit later than usual because I couldn't go to bed knowing that Jughead wasn't home yet. There has been nights where I did go to bed, but tonight I had this feeling that made me want to stay up.
I waited for Jughead to come home, I expected him to be home around midnight, but he was earlier which didn't matter to me. As soon as he walked in the front door he said,
"What the hell are you doing up?".
I was shocked.
"My beautiful pregnant wife has an appointment tomorrow to get more information on our baby and she needs to be ready!" He said.
He practically pushed me up to bed. I guess I learned my lesson about waiting for him to come home on late nights.

He walked into Bella's room and kissed her on the forehead. When he came back in the room, he went to the bathroom and then came and sat beside me in bed.
"Im excited for tomorrow." He said. I replied with a smile. We both got under the covers and went to sleep.

I got up to Bella's face staring at mine.
I screamed, "What the Heck!?"
And Bella laughed. Jughead yawned and rolled over. Bella jumped on top of him until he woke up.

After I got ready for the appointment, I helped Bella get ready for school. Normally, I drive Bella to school. But since Jughead and I are going to the appointment after, he's coming with me.

When we got to school, Jughead walked Bella inside the in closed gated area for once, because I usually do it.
He hopped back in the car and said "Was that Ethel's kid?" And I laughed!
I said the exact same thing yesterday. Then, we left the parking lot for the appointment.

We walked into the hospital, I never seen so many pregnant people in my life! Wow! We signed in and sat in the waiting room. Since the room was filled with other couples, we were forced to sit elbow to elbow beside others. We sat there and waited. I grabbed a mint out of my purse and handed on the Jughead. We slowly sucked on our mints until,
"Jughead Jones?!" Shouted from across the room.
Jughead and I looked at each other in confusion.
"It's me SweetPea!" He shouted again.
I was getting embarrassed of having a yelling conversation across the waiting room so I told Jughead that we'll walk up to him.
"Hey, SweetPea!" Jughead said.
Jughead and I always thought that when SweetPea left the Serpents he moved to GreenDale and was never to be seen, but I guess we were wrong.
"Wow, pregnant already!?" SweetPea asked.
I simply explained that this is going to be our second child.
"Well you look beautiful for your age Betty Cooper." SweetPea randomly said.
"It's Betty Jones!" Jughead immediately said after that. After catching up with SweetPea, I came across the question
"Why are you at the hospital?".
He told us that he had to update some files for his girlfriend, he needed to be the emergency contact for her.
"Who's you girlfriend" Jughead asked.
SweetPea was silent, until Ethel walks in.
"Hey Baby, did you update the files?" Ethel asked SweetPea.
Our Jaws Dropped! SweetPea and Ethel are a thing?
<Mrs. Jones is next, Mrs. Jones> the intercom said.
We said our goodbyes and we shocked all the way to the room.

We sat down, and this lady walked in. She looked like an expert. She asked us a few questions including, age, weight, day baby was conceived, when I took the test, etc. 
She said that the baby would approximately arrive in May 2031. We were so excited, it was September and we only had to wait 8 months! "The Baby will look beautiful!" The Doctor said. Jughead grabbed my hand and said,
"Just like her Mother." We smiled.
After many more tests the doctor gave us more dates to come to the hospital for appointments. She could tell we were excited. When she said we were good to leave, we left.

As we walked into the parking lot we saw Ethel and SweetPea leave the parking lot.
"It's a small world." Jughead said.
I agreed.

Then the phone rang, Jughead answered.
"Hello?"
<Hi, is this Bella Jones guardian?>
"Yes I'm her father."
<Well, Bella is complaining of a stomach ache.>
"Ok, we'll be right over to get her"

Jughead hung up the phone.
"What a beautiful surprise!" I said sarcastically.
