A/N: My cousin asked me to write a story about Elsa, her favourite character. So Happy Birthday dear!

Anna watched as Elsa fled the kingdom, running faster and faster as ice grew beneath her feet. Spreading over the lake like wildfire. "Elsa, wait! come back you have nothing to fear." as she tried to get down the steps to run after her sister, two hands pulled her away.

"Leave her Anna, it's too late." Hans spoke in a deep voice, with small sparks of sympathy attempting to drip through. Pulling away the princess hurried through the corridors and halls of the castle. Making her  way into the courtyard, already covered in a sheet of ice Anna made her way into the frozen courtyard. Asking for her horse as several snowflakes began to fall. Hans approached her, his hair slightly messed and suit slightly wrinkled. Placing a hand on her shoulder he spoke softly into her ear. "I'll go with you."

"No." came a strong voice echoing back at him. "I need you here." she paused a moment. "Who else would protect Arendelle, you're the only one I can trust." finishing Anna turned to greet her horse, quickly mounting it and taking the reigns in her hands. "I will find her, and when I do, I will ask her to reverse the winter."

With one movement she was off, soon just a figure with blazing hair, the color of fire riding off into the cold night.

Flying behind her were thoughts of the past, a kingdom she was not ready to face, Arendelle all these years Elsa was able to keep her powers of Snow and Ice a secret from almost everyone, even her sister. Now the whole kingdom knew and she was doubtful they would ever look at her the same way again. The looks people had given her were awful when she had been exposed, they feared her.

As she walked, Elsa thought about the events that occured during the coronation. Slowly moving through the snow kicking up small white flakes as her shoes dipped in and out of the cold substance she breathed in deeply. The mountain air really was wonderful, nobody up here to bother her, she could not hurt anyone if she lived isolated. Having nearly killed her sister all those years ago never left her memory and after her paretns ship had sank in the ocean, it left her devastated. Her powers grew and emotions seemed to control them.

Desperate to feel different she began to let all the emotions that had been building up inside for so many years out. Throwing off her her gloves that kept her powers concealed. The royal purple cape, and a crown she was no longer tied to Arendelle, Elsa did not want to be the Queen, her past would be exactly that. She would leave a life behind being to relieved at the thought of living freely Elsa smiled testing out everything she was possibly capable of. Controlling snow, ice, building large structures, long staircases beautifully crafted entirely from ice, frozen cold to keep from breaking.

As She left her old world behind Elsa breathed in relief as she stared at the sun starting to rise up above the mountains, colors of purple and pink filled the open sky. Not only was it the start of a new day, but the dawn of a new life. There was much to be missed, her sister was the biggest one of all. Leaving the past had allowed her to keep everyone safe, for Elsa to be free, from judgement free from fear and possibly punishment. The responsibilties of being Queen were almost too much, with her entire world knowing the her nature and of her mystical ability it was undetermined if they would ever trust her to rule as Queen or not.

With her royal responsibilities gone, Elsa walked the castle, free from everything. How good it felt to use her abilities freely, free from fear. The Ice palace froze another layer as she stepped onto the floor. A grand staircase leading down into an open enterance a large frozen fountain in its center. Closing her eyes for a moment and drawing in the beauty elsa smiled. The cold and isolation never bothered her, she had felt it all her life. At first it ate away, being locked up all the time, but she found beauty in it. Learning to control her powers must happen first if she did not wish to harm anyone again.

Anna raced through the ice and snow in attempt to find her sister, she had never known why she was always locked up in her room completely isolated. But now she did, her powers and there was nothing she could regret more than angering her sister at the coronation ceremony. Anna blamed herself for Elsa's rapid departure, she had pushed her too far and now the entire kingdom wasa afraid of her. Even if she tried to convince them Elsa never meant to hurt anyone, she was just afraid at the moment.

Quickly riding on her horse she came to a halt. It was spooked by something and dropped her right into the snow. Slipping as she got up, Anna rolled down a small hill and landed in an icy pool of freezing water. Waddling as she got out, Anna trudged through the ever thickening blanket of snow to find somewhere warm where she could rest a moment. It was not long before she was able to find a small wooden home. Or something that looked it anyway even from a few feet away she could already feel a slight warmth seeping out from the small building. Stepping up on the deck it came to her realization that it was in fact not a house and a small travellers post. Considering herself lucky she bough new clothes as hers were frozen in one position and moving was near inpossible in the rock hard dress.
