Chapter Six

After a whopping 5 hour flight from LAX to MIA, you could say i was a bit excited to get off this damned plane. Th plane ride was full of me drowning in nervousness as to whether or not the other kids contestants would like me or not, enough sexual innuendos from Kade to last a lifetime, uncomfortable 5 minutes naps, and a 5 year old kicking the back of my seat. Oh wait, that was Kade.

When the flight attendant told us that we had arrived in Miami, Florida and it was safe to unbuckle our seat belts, I practically bolted out of the plane. Way to act casual, Sky. The first thing I did now that I had service, was call Annalise. When she didn't answer, I called Alyssa. When Lys didn't answer, I resorted to phoning Eliza. She picked up on the 5th ring.

"At least someone answers their phone," I muttered more to myself than Eliza.

"Hey, who is this?"

"You really don't have my number? After 9 years of knowing you, and 2 years of you having a cell phone, you don't have my number? How does that even happen E?" I asked, teasing her slightly, yet baffled myself.

"Skylar.." she giggled. "What's up?"

"Are you with Annalise?" I asked eagerly.

"Yeah hold up." I hear shuffling on the other end and then Anna spoke. "Hello?"

"Hey love bug. Why didn't you answer your phone?" 

"Oh, sorry. I was at McDonald's and left my phone in the car. We just got back to the car. I guess Eliza was the only one with her phone on her." she explained.

"I suppose that makes sense. I was just calling to tell you that i landed and to see how you were doing"

"I'm doing good. How was the plane ride?" she questioned, genuinely interested.

"You don't wanna know," I chuckled. "I just wanted to let you know i landed safely and see if you were doing okay. I gotta go now, love you baby girl"

After being lectured by the producer who's name is something like Riverston Poe or something like that about being late, he informed me that we'd be going directly to the condo that Kade and I would be forced to share while spending our time on the show.

The condo was decent sized. 2 bedrooms, a living room, a dining room that connected to the kitchen, a patio, oh and 1 bathroom. That's gonna be a problem, no doubt.  Kade must've been thinking the same thing because when Riverston's assistant Mary told us that there was only one bathroom, he smirked and looked at me. Bruh.

I was assigned the room with light tan wooden floors, 2 burgundy walls and 1 gold wall. The producer had it fully furnished with a queen sized bed covered in a metallic copperish duvet and a dark brown night stand. I had 2 dressers the same wood as the night stand and a tan carped mid-floor. The window was tall and had a beautiful view of the garden outdoors. All in all, I loved my room. After putting my clothes away and pulling on a pair of high waisted ripped denim shorts and a coral flowey top with gold gladiator sandals, I made my way into the living room. I was greeted by Jennifer, the creator of Zee-TV. 

"Hello Skylar. Love the outfit. We're going to go and meet the other show contestants right now. Grab what you need and follow me." she informed us.

I went to follow Jennifer when Kade leaped in front of me, causing me to fall.

"Yeah Sky-Sky. Let's go." He smirked. I gritted my teeth, ignoring him for the sake of my upcoming career on TV.

You just have to put up with him until the end of this year, Sky. You can do it.

We climbed into the limo one by one and i ended up seated across from Kaden. The whole car ride he stared at me and when I looked at him, he didn't even bother looking away. He just kept staring. Not gonna lie, it's really creepy when you have your worst enemy staring at you non stop.

Kade reached next to me and grabbed a water bottle, never breaking eye contact. He leaned back and slowly twisted the cap, opening the water bottle. He began to tilt the water bottle towards his head, still looking at me and right when the limo came to a smooth stop, Kade over dramatized it and threw his water all over me, soaking my entire outfit. 

Everyone's eyes were now on me, while mine were on a smirking Kade Brook, "Whoops." he said, shrugging with a malicious smile on his lips, "sorry."

I gave him the hardest glare humanly possible until the silence was broken by a very nervous female voice. "Umm, we're here.."

Great. Just fucking great.
