1 Year later
Maisie had been going to school for a year and Owen and I took it in turns to Driver her to and from. Karen, Scott and the boys moved back into their old house but kept the trailer in case they ever wanted to travel. It was my turn to pick her up from school and she is usually extremely happy but today was different.She had her head hung low and wore an angry expression. She got in the car and just glared out the window.
An hour previous.
I walked into class to see everyone gathered around a desk "Guys?" My voice sounded shaky. They all turned their heads. "Maisie. Did you know your parents worked at Jurassic world?"
"Yeah."
"Did you know your mom got chased by a T-Rex."
"What!"
"Maisie. What exactly did they tell you?"
"They said they worked at the park and I recognised them from the News but."
I walked closer to the screen and the girls pressed play. I gasped when I saw it. Mom running for her life, dad trying to protect two boys who looked very familiar while nearly getting eaten by the T-Rex.
"Zach and Grey!"
"Who?"
"My cousins. Thats them! I knew they were there when the events happened but i didn't know that it was this bad."
The more and more footage we watched the more i got angry at my parents from hiding this. That was all anyone could talk about during lessons too.
Current time
I parked the car and Maisie ran through the door, past Owen and up to her room. "What is that all about?"
"I have no idea."
Maisie suddenly re appeared.
"This is why I'm mad."
My throat closed and my vision became blurred when I saw the image.
"Maisie. Where did you get this?"
"It doesn't matter! All that matters is you and mom hid it from me and I want to know why."
Their voices faded and I fell to the floor.
I gasped as Claire fainted and hit the floor. I rushed her to hospital only to discover news that would change everything.
"Mr. Grady?"
"Yes?"
"Your fiancee is in a stable condition. Both her and the child are fine."
"Child?"
"You are aware that Miss. Dearing is pregnant right?"
"No."
I sat in shock and I saw Maisie look up.
"Can We see her?"
"Of course."
I held out my hand and Maisie took it. We walked down the corridor into Claire's room, hand in hand. We sat down and Claire looked over at us.
"Owen. I I'm"
"Pregnant. I know. The doctor told us!"
I couldn't contain my excitement and they both laughed.
"Mom. I'm really sorry."
"It's okay sweetie. Besides you deserve an explanation."
