The lights flashed off and everyone stood in silence. Nakamori silently ordered his crew to get closer to the diamond. Unfortunately, Kanna wasn't there. She was on the roof of the building. It was stuffy in there so she told Aoko she'd be on te roof. Kanna hated cramped spaces especially in the dark with alot of people. It was more like a fear. It was one of her flaws. She need assistance to be in a crowded space in the dark.

5 year old Kanna sat in the crowd on her birthday. Her parents requested a good friend, Toichi Kuroba to show kids magic tricks. All the kids at her party watched the trick in amazement.

"Now I'm looking for a volunteer for this trick..." He moved his head around to all the children. Child Kanna jaw clenched. She was the only one who didn't raise her hand. She was hoping he wouldn't notice her. Unfortunately, he did. "You birthday girl! May I please have you as a volunteer?" He bowed and took her hand. It was hard for her not to be noticed. She was wearing a pink sparkly crown that said "Birthday girl" and a cute pink dress. Kanna hesitated. He leaned closer into her ear.

"Don't worry you'll be ok. I just need you to walk into the box. You holler if your scared." Toichi quickly reassured her. Before she could reply she was already in the box. She leaned her head on the door to hear what's happening.

"For my trick I will now transport her to a different area!"

With those words she quietly panicked. Different Area? What does that mean? She wanted to get out. Right now.

She was breathing heavy and was having a panic attack. Then the box got dark and she bumped into something. She looked down and saw her... stuffed animals? She didn't hear anything outside.

"You can come out now. Its alright." Toichi said calmly. She oddly liked his voice. It was calm and smooth but it had a mischievous side to it. She was fond of him.

Kanna gently opened the door. She was shocked to see she was in her bedroom with all the party guest clapping at the trick. Her parents stood there smiling cause they planned this out. Kanna looked up at Toichi not saying a word.

"I was right wasn't I? Your parents told me you hide in your closet when your scared?" He looked down at her. Kanna was speechless. Her parents told him her secret. She was very insecure about being a scaredy cat, especially of dark small cramp spaces. Her closet was kinda like a guidance. She smiled warmly at him as he rubbed her head. Best birthday ever for you.

Kanna looked up at the stars in the night sky. Her long, dark, silky hair that was in a pony tail, flowed behind her like a Cape. Her skin was cooled down from the hotness inside. Her eyes may be Violet, but tonight, they were bright as the stars in the sky.

"It appears I have found 2 gems tonight.."

540 words not bad! I'm am so sorry for not writing on wattpad for so many months. I'm trying to catch up on writing more now. I've been through with Anxiety of starting middle school, HOMEWORK, my phone not working, and some family drama. But I like tea tho ,🐸 ☕

Anywho thank you all so much for 174 reads when there's only 4 chapters! I'm also writing some more on my Shinichi Kudo x Reader story but I need more time and inspiration. I have a lot of ideas that I need work on. Have a good morning/day/evening/night!~
