Chapter 1
Lauren was getting ready for the best performance of her career. She was performing at the opening show for the brand new Opry. It was about 5 times bigger then the other one, and this show was being broadcasted on international television! Lauren was only performing one song, Eighteen Inches. Lauren was getting her hair done. "Are you excited Laur?" I asked her. "Yeah, but a little nervous." "You'll do great, you always do. And your going to look gorgeous : )." We both smiled. "Thanks mom." She said. After Lauren got ready, I was standing backstage with her while Carrie Underwood was performing. Lauren was next. As Carrie was walking off stage, she wishes Lauren good luck and gives her a hug. "Thanks Carrie! You did great!" "Awe thanks!" Lauren gets ready to walk on stage. "Please welcome, Lauren Alaina!" Lauren walks on. She looks gorgeous and I'm so proud of her. "Hey everyone, I'm going to be singing my new single 18 inches, which is the distance from your head to your heart." More then halfway through the song, Lauren's worst fear happened.
