Chapter 2
"7 pounds and 18 inches........" Lauren froze and my heart sank. She looked terrified. I wanted to just run on stage and give her a big hug. There are tears streaming down her face. I am just praying that she remembers the words to the song and keeps on singing. After about 15 seconds Lauren runs off stage over to me and cries. She cries so loudly and I just feel awful. I could tell she was upset and dissapointed in herself. "It's ok Lauren you did fine! You look beautiful and you sounded great." I'm trying to comfort her. "No it's not ok! I just forgot the words to my own song in front of millions! What my fans hate me!" She kept crying. "Lauren they won't hate you!" I walk her back to her dressing room. Lauren immediatley checks her twitter to see what her fans thought about her. "Look mom! the fans don't hate me!" She half smiled. "I told you." She was still embarressed though. Carrie comes in. Lauren starts crying again. "Carrie i'm so sorry! I messed up the words to a song that you wrote! I bet you probably hate me now. "Lauren why would I hate you! You look and sounded amazing!" Carrie was trying to comfort her. "This stuff happens to aall singers." Lauren stopped crying. "Ok, I feel better now." Lauren tells us. I smiled at Carrie and then at Lauren.
