At the break of dawn, a human city made of gold could be seen, beautiful and tempting to creatures,as though it were a siren. But today, things were not so peaceful. A woman could be heard screaming, and was seen fighting fang, fist, and claw to keep a small bundle with her. She hissed at what must have been a priest, and yowled as two male humans grabbed her, and ripped the bundle from her arms while they dragged her away. The woman screamed in grief as she wailed "Stiana!!".

The priest grabbed the bundle away from a male, and glared down at the 5-month-old baby girl. The baby, at that exact moment, decided to let a warm and damp stain cover his cloak. The priest growled in disgust, and walked to the river. He put the baby in a basket, and let it drift off into the river. He then walked back to the village, ready to continue his day.

The baby fussed for a moment, and began to cry loudly. Tempest Shadow, now a teenager, heard the cries and ran to the river, saving the baby. The baby had green eyes, raven hair, tan skin, and was wearing a gold onesie with a pink heart on it. The baby cooed at Tempest, then giggled, her green eyes filled with love. Tempest didn't understand though, and looked around for the baby's parents.

When she saw none in sight, she sighed as she began to walk back into the forest. The baby looked at her mane for a second, and decided to grab it and tug on it. Tempest felt the pain, and only winced instead of screaming. The baby let go, and began to cry as a rancid smell began to come from the cloth she was wrapped up in.

Tempest knew what to do, as much as she hated it, and changed the baby's diaper, gagging at the horrible smell. The baby looked at her broken horn for a second, and reached up a hand. The baby gently touched her horn, curious. Tempest then gently removed the baby's hand from her horn, knowing the baby was too innocent of a creature to get hurt by her broken horn. The baby cooed at her, curious at why Tempest didn't wanna play.

Tempest sighed, and put the baby on her back before she began to walk north. The baby yawned, and murmured one word that melted Tempest's cold heart. "Mama....". Tempest stopped in her tracks, her eyes widened as she felt her heart melt at this one little word; she even let a small smile form on her face.

"I could get used to this..". The baby then fell asleep with a small smile on her face. Tempest then decided it was getting late, and walked into the bushes. She cleared away most of the dirt, rocks, and leaves away, and put down her blue sleeping bag. She put the baby down near her stomach, and curled up around her like a cat.

She smiled at the baby one last time before she fell asleep. "Goodnight.....my little daughter....".
