I greeted Aziza as I walked into my apartment. I went into my room and dumped my dirty clothes in my hamper. I went back out into the living room to join Aziza.
"How was Elton's?" Aziza asked.
I sighed. "It was fun. I had a lot of fun. Elton is so much fun. I like him a lot."
"I'm glad," Aziza said. "Elton does seem really cool."
"He is," I replied. "He's super nice to me and treats me well."
Aziza patted my leg. "I'm glad. I hope it goes well for you."
I smiled. "Thanks. But enough about my love life. What's yours like?"
Aziza laughed. "I found this guy, Colby. He's really nice and I really like him so far."
I raised an eyebrow. "What's his last night?"
"Brock," Aziza replied. "Why do you ask?"
"Because I know a Colby Brock." I pulled out my phone and showed Aziza a picture of Colby. "Is this what your Colby looks like?"
Aziza nodded. "Yeah, it is. How do you know him?"
"He's Elton's roommate," I replied. "You should come over with me the next time I go over to Elton's place."
Aziza grinned. "Of course! I'd love to."
I pulled out my phone and called Elton. Once he picked up, I launched into what Aziza and I had found out. After I had finished telling Elton everything, I put him on speaker phone. Elton and I planned everything out with Aziza budding in. Once the plan was planned out, I took the phone off speaker and started talking to Elton privately.
"It's almost our one month anniversary, Mahja," Elton said.
"You celebrate one month anniversaries?" I asked. "That's cliché."
Elton laughed but he sounded like he wasn't sure. "I guess so. I just wanted to spend it with you. I didn't want to do anything special."
"Sure, I guess," I replied. "What do you want to do?"
"Go to the movies?" Elton suggested. "I haven't been in a while and I thought it would be nice to take you."
I smiled to myself. "Of course. Let's do it."
I could imagine Elton smiling. Elton said, "Okay, I'll see you this Friday. I'll pick you up. What time to get off work?"
"Five o'clock," I replied. "My work isn't too far away from my apartment so I should be home by five thirty or five forty-five. I'll see you then?"
"I'll see you then," Elton confirmed.
