Jenn, 15 years old, just went through a family divorce. From the cause of family issues, her dad becomes an alcoholic and a smoker, really obsessive ones too. Honestly, people think Jenn has a perfect life but she refuses that it is. It's not easy for Jenn to go through stuff like this. Especially when she's been dealing with diabetes since the age of 9. It never was and never will be easy.
She lost her bestfriend, Courtney, to a girl named Nina. Nina bullies Jenn. From 8th grade to 10th, the grade all 3 of them are in. Jenn has two classes with Courtney and one with Nina.
The divorce was on July 14th, 2014, the day before Jenn's 15th birthday. Jenn's mom moved out and Jenn has been living with her dad ever since and today is her first day back as a 10th grader at Madison High.
You're probably wondering if Courtney attends Madison. In fact, she does. But, unfortunately for Jenn, Nina attends Madison as well. Nina and Courtney are both on the Madison High Elite Cheer Competition Team, Nina was captain.

"Hello! Welcome to Madison Highschool. My name is Charlene. Do you need any help?" a senior ASB student asks Jenn.
"Uh yes I do," Jenn replies, pulling out her schedule. She looks it over and finally speaks up. "Where's room 406?"
Jenn hands Charlene her schedule. "Ahh! Mr. Galvez. Follow me please," she says with a smile.
Jenn nods and follows Charlene.
"So what's your name?" the senior asks.
Jenn catches up to Charlene's pace. "It's Jennifer Mandiff. But you can call me Jenn," she says.
"Well, Jenn, I know I've said it already, but I'm Charlene Winchester. Nice to meet you."
"You too," Jenn smiles.

Soon after, they arrived to room 406, Mr. Galvez. Charlene walked in and tried to find an empty seat. She found one in the back corner of the room and looked around to get a glimpse of all the students faces. Not too far from her, was a boy named Shawn. Charlene's had a crush on him since 7th grade and she still does.
He's so cute, she thought. But I don't have a chance with him.
"Goodmorning class! My name is Mr. Galvez and I am your English teacher. Copy down the homework please."
