Searching for a job was hard as it already was. Factor in that he only had the afternoons, no college credential, and four other jobs to suffice, then it’s extremely difficult. His hopes of landing a job with Namjoon were squashed when he learned that Namjoon took Jin to vacation somewhere in America. Rich tasteless fools. Without any connections outside of that, he realized that he was indefinitely screwed. What place was hiring that takes a young adult like him, who have no college degree?

His thoughts stayed on this as he scrolled through free jobs on his phone. “Too far… Can't do that… Not showing any skin… Ah ha! Found one!” Yoongi cheered in a monotoned voice — if that was even possible. The job requirements fit that of a high school graduate and it was close enough to both of his night jobs. The time seemed appropriate enough, though it was cutting close to his morning job.

Dialing the number, he waited to hear the dialogue of an employee. A sweet voice rang through the phone as a boy answered. “Butler Cafe, how may I help our master?” The voice chimed, sparkles practically falling out of Yoongi’s old LG phone. Yoongi resisted the urge to cringe at the words of the server.

He conjured up the most polite-sounding voice he had in him and replied, “I saw you are looking for a male server who could work the afternoons?” The requirements were oddly specific, but he understood that the customers would be rather picky. The boy on the other side gave an affirmative grunt.

When he spoke once more, his ecstatic voice made Yoongi scowl. “Absolutely! Are you calling to apply for the position yourself or for another?” the happy boy exclaimed. Yoongi could tell he’ll regret saying ‘yes’ to the employee. But, he needed this job. He needed the money.

So, he did what he had to. “Yes, for me.”

“Ah! Excellent. Just answer a few questions over the phone then I’ll schedule an in-person interview for you,” the butler server informed. “Question number one: age?”

Yoongi realized that he never checked the age limit. It would be very embarrassing if they didn't accept people over twenty. It could be a teen cafe. Nevertheless, he knew he had to answer. “Twenty-two.”

The boy didn't give any horrified squawk, which was a good sign. “Okay and place of dwelling?”

The man hesitated. His tiny apartment in the crappiest part of town isn’t exactly what a cafe trying to find clean, handsome men were expecting from a possible employee. He used his real address for only two jobs before: the nightclub and Hoseok's ice cream shop. For the others, he didn't have to list it, only phone number. “678, Gogul Street,” he lied, telling the boy Hoseok's address instead. He’ll just have to inform the other later.

“Alright, last question for now: phone number,”

“2-0510-1993.”

After a moment of pause, the boy spoke again, “Repeat the number from after the second zero, please.”

Not wanting to give the other any attitude for fear of losing a job before he even got it. “1-9-9-3,” he stated ever so slowly.

With that, the boy gave a proud huff and spoke to Yoongi once more, “Can you come here tomorrow at the time you’ll be starting if you're approved by the owner for an interview? 12:30?”

Yoongi had to work at a repair shop for old trinkets until twelve tomorrow. Cleaning himself would take ten-fifteen minutes, leaving enough time to dash right on over. “I can.”

“Perfect. See you then. I'll be the one to greet you, so just find the guy with my voice!” the boy cheered. Before Yoongi could point out that phones make you sound different, the other had hung up. How delightful. An all-too-positive, high-pitched man’s voice was his only clue to whomever that worker was. He will admit that somewhere in the other’s voice, there was familiarity. Yoongi pushed away that thought. He didn't know anyone who works at a butler cafe, and the only guy who would was off to America with Namjoon.
