It was that night that the elder realized he’d forgotten to get Taehyung’s number as the other suggested. After being plundered by Jimin’s tiny self, the thought of going home was all that was on his mind. Though, connecting with someone over R-D gave Yoongi a happy feeling. The rapper was someone that held a spot in Yoongi’s past self, a time where he didn’t care and fought humanity. The time of his teenage rebel days.
Talking of the guy again was like a fresh slap of peacefulness in the face. A nostalgic remedy for Yoongi’s storming mind that brought the crashing waves down to a calm whisper. The half-blonde smiled to himself, shaking his head lightly. What an eventful week he had been having thus far. Entering the bathroom, he took notice to the dark-haired female that draped herself over the counter, staring at her reflection with intensity.
“Wheein?” the boy said, gently tapping on his adopted sister’s arm. She let out a cry as she stumbled backward, right into the shower’s wall. Yoongi tried his best to stifle his laughter for the safety of his stomach. The girl was known for a powerful gut punch.
She sighed, hand held over her chest. “Tell someone if you are just standing there…,” Wheein insisted and stood back up on her feet. “I’ll quickly get out of your way.” Normally, Yoongi wasn’t one to say anything, but the look on her face was one of complete dejection. That was something he was not going to stand for. When one of his siblings, adopted or blood, were in despair, Yoongi was not just gonna sit by and let them handle it themselves.
Before she could escape the confined room, he grabbed onto her arm firmly. “What’s wrong?” he whispered, not looking her in the eye and stared at the speckled glass slab that served as a door to the shower. He felt his sister go stiff under his grip and he knew his speculation was correct.
“D-do you think that I’m incapable and ugly compared to Moonbyul?” she asked, voice barely above that of inaudible. The brokenness that hung in her voice was so heart-shattering that it made Yoongi suck in his bottom lip. He barely remembered who his sister spoke of, but he was sure it was one of her friends.
He looked at her now, eyes full of worry and care. “The tall one that with that girl named Sun or something?” he inquired, a bit nerved. He was unsure of how he should handle this. Yoongi was in no means girlish or equipped to comfort the other in a situation like this one. “Even if it’s not,” Yoongi continued after Wheein remained silent, “I do know that you cannot compare yourself to others. You should never do that because we each are different, but that difference is what makes us perfect.”
Wheein remained quiet for a few more moments, not meeting his eyes. Then she looked up him all of a sudden. “You say some of the stupidest things, you know. Sometimes I wonder how someone who thought Mac N’ Cheese didn’t have noodles in it can come up with some of the most brilliant words,” his sister remarked, giving him a sad smile.
Yoongi scoffed. “In my defense, we aren’t Italian or American. Mac N’ Cheese is not a common dish for us,” the half-blonde retorted, rustling Wheein’s hair. With a frown, she swatted his hand away and rolled her eyes before leaving him alone. With her gone, Yoongi’s eyes met his own in the mirror. He needed to dye his hair for the butler cafe job. Chan said they would pay for that since they require it, but when would he get that situated? What about the haircut he required too?
His eyes fell from the fluff on his head to the egg head of his. Wheein had a beautiful face and a cute smile. Yoongi didn’t have much in the looks department. He’s surprised Jin actually let him work in a place that visuals were a priority. Then again, he may be set to work in the back, mopping or something. Ignoring his reflection, he dug in the drawer for what he came in there for: his razer.
