It was still freezing outside. It was still snowing. Denis took Y/N's wrist and brought her to the elevator. Y/N's heart beat faster. He pressed the button to open the elevator and brought her inside. Then he pressed the button to go downstairs when Y/N started to play with her hands. She looked down, and put her hands to her sides, trying to keep her calm.

"Is something wrong?" asked Denis, noticing she was getting nervous.

"I-I don't have the greatest experiences with elevators." her head stayed down. She looked up, but just with her eyes, when the door started to close. Then she closed her eyes. Y/N barely even realized it, but by the time the elevator doors were shut, Denis' feet had shifted closer and his fingers laced through hers. She calmed, without even really trying.

"You're okay," it was a quiet whisper.

Y/N opened her eyes and looked up. She released her hand and wrapped her arms around his waist, serenely resting her head on his shoulder. He hugged her back. He didn't want to ruin the moment, but the elevator door was going to open very soon. He kept a close eye on it. The door was taking extra long to open. It wasn't opening. He reached out and pressed the button to open the elevator door, but it didn't work.

Above the door, the floor number glowed. It never changed. Don't panic, he thought. He looked down at Y/N, who was starting to get heavier. Her arms drooped and her legs started to bend. She fell asleep. He bent down with her and rested her on the floor and up against the wall, her head resting on her arms, arms on her knees, like a ball. Now to fix their problem.

He kept pressing the button to open the elevator, when it practically dropped down to the lower floor. At least they made it.

Y/N woke up, as if she woke up from a nightmare.

"W-What happened?" Her heart beat fast, legs shaky, voice breaking, and stood up.

"I-I don't know." He immediately went over to her and helped her up, making sure she didn't fall over.

"A-a-are we o-okay?" She asked, a tear running down her cheek.

"We're okay, it's okay, you're fine." He put his arm around her. "It's okay."  He pressed the button to open the elevator door again. Nothing. Then he pressed the help button.

"You sure?"

"Yeah."

"Thank you."

"For what? What'd I do?"

"Made me feel much better."

Denis rubbed her back. "Of course. No one deserves to be unhappy." Then he whispered, "Especially you,"

"Aww," She whispered back. "How sweet."

He looked over at the button, and Y/N looked at him. She went on her tippy-toes and straightened her neck more. And she kissed him out of nowhere.

"Is-what-" he then stuttered.

Y/N smiled and said, "Cat got your tongue?"

"Y-Yes, actually."

She backed up. "Don't want no surprises when someone comes to get us." He grinned. She grinned back.

When the door opened, which didn't take long at all, a worker stood there.

"Sorry 'bout the elevator. We gotta fix it." Said the man in an accent Y/N couldn't name.

"Put up a sign, but thank you. We appreciate it." Y/N nodded her head. The two walked out.

Denis yawned and put an arm around her, movie-date style. "Let's go get you a hotel room."
