Chpt 1: Apocalypse Then
Y/n Lolita DeVill
The DeVill household was full of my parents coven members . Every Thursday my father gathered the Coven together to do nothing really, they just sit around drinking red wine. My parents are well known witches, they're extremely powerful and plan on passing their coven down to me when they retire or pass. My parents are very indebted in my future, they believed I could even be supreme if I tried hard enough.
Being supreme wasn't at the top of my list, I have dreams and goals. I don't want a title like 'supreme' to be all I accomplish in life, even though it is a wonderful thing to be known for. I love being witch, it's apart of me and always will be.
My abilities were very advanced, I could resurrect, shift places and almost everything a supreme could. It just wasn't main priority. It aggravates my parents knowing that other things are on my mind other than becoming supreme.
It was an odd day for me, I had a dream the night before about the end of times. Honestly I could barely remember what happened the past few days. That dream has clouded everything and almost took the place of what the last few days consisted of.
The dream was complicated and confusing, and I didn't really understand what was happening. My dream was full of pain and loss, and a man. He went by the name Micheal Langdon, I was in love with him.
My feet slammed on the floor as I ran around the underground coven; I was in search for Micheal, my Micheal. There were tears streaming down my face and a pill bottle in my left hand. I didn't know why. Micheal stood in the middle of the witches dead bodies, blood covered his face and he had a look of despair.
I was told to stay hidden, he didn't want anyone to know I even existed. He didn't want people to know because I was his weakness, I was something they could use against him. I listened and stayed hidden, for him I stayed kept away for three years only being seen by him.
"Micheal." I sobbed out.
"Lolita! I told you never to come out-"
"I know but I saw something, Mallory. She kills you Micheal, and there's nothing you can do. It's to late, Micheal. Our story is coming to a short halt here, but I promise we'll be together again. I'm sorry." I grabbed his larger hand, placing the empty pill bottle. His eyes were teary and when he looked at the bottle he broke. I began losing balance, sinking down before being caught half way by Micheal. He placed his free hand on my cheek.
"Please don't leave me, not you to. Please, Y/n. I love you, please don't leave me." His tears ran through the blood on his face. He was beautiful, no matter what was smeared across his face. I'll always think he's beautiful, my beautiful Micheal.
"We'll see each other again, I promise."
And that was it. It absolutely made no sense to me, who the hell is Micheal Langdon ? I was confused and the crowded space of this house was beginning to make me feel queasy. I stood from my seat heading towards my parents. They sat at the dining table surrounded by other witches and looked up at me before I got 2 feet close. I sped up my pace and stopped beside them.
"I think I'm gonna go for a walk, I feel a little light headed in this crowd. I won't be gone long, promise." My mother looked at my father who nodded at her.
"Okay darling, don't be gone to long and be safe." She smiled.
"I will mom, see you guys when I get back." I walked up the stairs going to my room to change my clothes. I took the hair ties from my hair and let my wild curls free. My top and jeans were simple, a white tee with bright blue jeans. My shoes were plain black Nike's and I placed a jean jacket over my top.
Heading back down the stairs I plugged my headphones in and played my music on shuffle. I paid close attention to my surroundings and started counting little things. I looked at the cracks in the road and at the children who ran wildly around the many playgrounds that were scattered down the streets. I was peaceful and my thoughts about Micheal began to simmer. That was until I felt a rush of pain that ran through my body. It was excruciating and I began to tear up from the pain.
Then I began mindlessly walking, my body moved faster than my brain. I could barely comprehend what was happening, the pain was leading me in a direction I wasn't familiar with. The sun began to feel like it was burning through my jacket so I stripped it away and discarded it. My eyes became blurry and visions of Micheal, someone named Mallory and almost a dozen other people began flashing through my head. Memories came back, it was almost like they were ripped away.
I knew Micheal, I loved him. Everything he's ever told me, everything we've been through all came rushing back. But how, how did all these memories come back so fast? I fell to the ground squeezing my eyes shut and not to long after the sound of a car horn blared in my ears. My eyes shot open to see a black range rover speed past me. The windshield was crashed and her face was familiar. I didn't really think to much of it.
I grabbed my head screaming because of the pain that ran through my body. I kept hearing conversations and seeing faces, of and about people who I once knew. The pain began to fade, I slowly began to lift off the ground and continue walking. I felt like something was pulling me in this direction but what, I wasn't sure.
Then I saw it, well him. Scattered on the ground covered in blood, in pain.
Micheal. My Micheal.
