mia smiles, her hand slowly dropping from the door handle. she slowly walks to me, her lips perked in a small smile. her eyes declare sadness, and I just want to freeze again.

she kneels at the end of my bed, and folds her hands together before sighing. "hey, bubby." my breath hitches. "i've missed you. a lot." her hands gently rests on top of mine now. her thumb caresses the top of my hand. "please respond. it took a lot to be able to see you again." I slowly release my arms from my legs.

"are you real?" she chuckles, and stands up from her position. "in your mind. not in the physical form." my heart clenches and tears slowly spill front my eyes.

"bubby." she gasps, quickly sitting down. her hand reaches for my face. she frowns and wipes the tears. "it's okay. i'm okay." she whispers, stroking my cheek.

"n-o. no you aren't. he-he killed you, m. he took you away from me." I choke out, before breaking out into a sob. she pulls me into a hug full of love and life. it takes all my might to not just confess all my feelings towards her. but it wouldn't do anything. she is gone now.

my tightly wrap my arms around her waist, sobbing into her chest. she slowly pets my head, humming when the party's over by billie eilish. "but nothing's better sometimes. once we both said our goodbyes." she quietly sings to me. she slowly looks at me. "I'll leave at one point, Dani. but we have time before I do." she stands up and smoothes put her dress. "come, I wanna show you something." she reaches her hand out to me, smiling. my slowly place my hand in hers before standing.

she smiles brighter once I've stood beside her. "ready?" she asks, gripping my hand. I nod, and we walk out the room.
