Beep Beep, how pleasant the sound we all dread hearing in the morning. My eyes widen and I looked at my ceiling which felt like it was closing in on me. I sat up on my bed and stretched till I got the tiredness out of my system, it usually never works but I'm giving it my best shot.

I got out of bed and checked myself out in the mirror close to my bed. My brown eyes were barley visible due to them almost completely shut. My brown hair was all over the place which was impressive considering how short it was. I was up until 1:00am, not my smartest move considering I have to be up at 7:00am but could you blame me, I was FaceTiming Emma the entire night until she ended it by needing sleep.

I looked in my closet and picked blue jeans with just a grey sweater, simple yet sweet. I grabbed my phone revealing the time of 7:15am my new record. Everyday I left my house around 7:45-8:00am depending how I was getting to school. It would either be my mom or dad driving me, or just walking. We didn't live too far which was great and I preferred walking because there were days were I saw Emma and would walk with her instead.

I ran down the stairs to the kitchen were my mom was making breakfast and my dad was getting ready to leave for work.

"Morning mom, dad" I said while eating a muffin.

"Morning son, can't stay I got called in early" my dad said while kissing my moms forehead and heading over too the door.

"So I'll have too walk today... bummer" though on the inside I was very happy hoping to run into Emma.

"Not quite, you're dad has too take a train so I can drive you" my mom said while patting my shoulder.

We all said our goodbyes and watched my dad head over too the train station, it was a little odd I'll admit I've never seen him take the train this early but work is work so I won't be thinking about it too much.

After my mom ranted to me about the girls in her yoga class and I pretended I was listening for the entire thing, we headed out too the car. Too my surprise I saw Emma leave her house in a rush.

"Emma!" I called while putting my bag in the backseat.

"Morning second family" she laughed. "I would talk with you guys but I'm gonna be late if I do."

"Don't be silly, I'll drive you hop in!" It hit me then that my mom was more of a man then I'd ever be.

My mom got in her spot while I sat in the back with Emma. The car ride was pretty silent but we would laugh here and there for no reason at times. Eventually we got to school and out of the car.

"Thanks mom see you after school bye, love you." I said while slamming the door closed.

"Thanks Mrs.Price, love you more then Kolby ever will!" Emma said sucking up too her.

My mom laughed and so did she, I probably should have said other wise but I'm pretty sure my mom likes Emma more then me anyways. Isn't it always like that though?

"You're making me look like a terrible son, you know." I said while nudging her should.

"Isn't that my job as your best friend?" She said while walking beside me towards the doors.

There were the words everyone 'best friend' I got best friend zoned most days. Was she flirting? Did she know I liked her and try to push my back to the friend zone? I don't know but it's like I was just gonna ask her either, so I'll stick to risking my feelings rather then our friendship.

When we walking into the school of RidgeMont we were greeted by our other friends. Remember the one id talk about later here's later.

There was Ethan Desousa him and his black hair and leather jackets, he either has one hundred or wears the same one everyday. Then there was Chelsea Hopper, she had blonde hair and a positive attitude, she could get a little too preppy but we dealt with her for so long might as well keep her. Kidding we love her. Finally Zac Rossi, he was the only one of us who even said "hello" to the athletic jerks. He had a death wish that boy or he had no fears.

Of course there were more but these guys were our main people we talked too. Emma has a big social group though, everyone talks to her, she's every teachers favourite and is a straight A student.

"Class time!" Chelsea said with a smile.
"Great" Ethan said sarcastically. The good news was we all had the first class together, science. That's how we all met but after that it was a mess until final period, that was English and Emma and I had it together. Of course so did Tyler Johnston the so called leader of the athletic jerks.

When we all arrived to class and sat in our proper seating which was just one desk away from each other for the entire row, class was in session.

Something wasn't right though, Emma was not herself, she seemed let down like she wanted to cry but couldn't. As if she was holding something in but its probably nothing, right?
