The Prince and the Cherry Blossom Tree
Ralsei spent the rest of his day pouring over his various activities. Drawing, reading, listening to the birds chirp a happy tune, lots of things that he loved to do. But as the night grew closer and daylight came to an end his heart sank just a tiny bit more. He had no friend to lay with, no friend to hug goodnight. He didn't have anyone but himself. Ralsei started to sob a mixture of emotions. Happiness for finally meeting a friend, and sadness for he didn't know when he would see her next. "Jude..." he sobbed, "Please let me see you again..." He curled up in his sheets and whimpered himself to sleep.
Around the same time, Jude was doing the same thing. She sat on the vanity near her window and watched the moon glow in the sky as she thought long and hard about Ralsei. 'I barely know you... But my heart wants me to know more...' Jude thought to herself as she placed her hand on her chest. She took a long, deep breath and smiled. "Jude?" Her mother's voice called out from beyond the door, it opened up revealing the sweet parent. "Jude how would you like to go to the park tomorrow on your own? Me and your father have lots of business to take care of and we want you to get out for some fresh air." Jude's mother stopped speaking, and smiled wide. Then awaited a reply "I'd love to mother!" Jude jumped up and hugged her mother tight. In exchange, her mother gave her some dark dollars for whatever she wanted to purchase.
Jude's mother walked out and shut the door behind her while Jude put the money up and picked out an outfit. All while smiling wide, this was her chance to run into that goat boy again. At least she hoped she could. Jude laid her head to rest and awaited the morning sun to rise, as soon as her head hit the pillow she was counting the sheep, and rise the sun did, Jude bolted up when she heard the birds chirp, and she started to get ready. A nice frilly purple dress with the same white stockings as before, nice black shoes, all topped off with a pretty little ponytail. Jude grabbed her purse and started to walk out. The heat hit her face like a train, a easy and calm breeze danced through her hair as she skipped down the road to the nearest park.
The tiny village that they all congregated in wasn't that large, so there wasn't much to do nor was there many places to go. Most of the time you'd see families at the nearest diner, children at one of the two local parks, or couples underneath the trees of the forest. The odds were high that Ralsei and Jude would run into each other, and Jude was rolling the dice in anticipation. Upon reaching the park, Jude took everything in, the pretty trees and bushes, the various children equipment. This was her favorite place to go on any occasion. She plopped herself down underneath a pink cheery blossom tree and picked some flowers. Pulling off each petal she smiled and breathed in the air of beauty and nature.
Ralsei laid in bed and rubbed his eyes, waking up to the sound of God's beautiful animals calling his name. Ralsei yawned, and started to dress himself for the day. Once again, he pondered what to do on such a pretty morning. Maybe go on a walk? Or perhaps go out for a meal? Maybe make some more pie? Ralsei shook his head and sighed. He couldn't think straight or shake Jude off of his mind. He had to find her again. Ralsei sprung up and walked out of his house and into the town, looking in and around crowds for that familiar looking human. He was so close to giving up when he spotted her by a tree. "Jude..." Ralsei's cheeks filled with heat and turned to a pink shade, his heart was beating a million miles a second as he got closer. He hopped towards her and held his paws together. Jude looked up and her face turned from relaxed to excitement and pure joy. "Ralsei!" She jumped up and hugged him, Ralsei hugged back tight. They both sat down with each other and smiled. "I wanted to see you again Jude." Ralsei looked down and smiled a bit. "I wanted to see you too... But... My family? We're of royalty status so my kind isn't supposed to be seen with your kind. Monsters and humans..." Jude looked over at Ralsei with tears welding in her eyes. "But I really like you Ralsei." She bursted out and hugged him again tightly. Ralsei sat there with no words. What was he to do now? His only friend, forbidden to speak with him. "I won't let them tell you that you can't be my friend Jude." He grabbed her hands in his paws. "We'll be friends regardless of what your family thinks."
Jude wiped the tears from her eyes and smiled. "I knew from the small time we shared together you were a good monster. I just didn't wanna let a monster like you go." they both smiled towards each other, reassuring one another that it would be okay. For a while, Ralsei and Jude spent quality time together. Time that they genuinely enjoyed. The two young kids walked around the park, hand in hand, swaying back and forth to the timing of their footsteps. Soon enough, the sun was about to set on the day and the sadness began to set in Ralsei's heart. "I really don't wanna go Jude..." He looked down and held her hand tighter. Jude gave him a tight hug and smiled. "Walk with me home?" She asked. Ralsei lit up and nodded. "Okay!" and with that, the two walked together and savored the seconds they could spend with each other.
Once they reached the house, Ralsei was struck with awe at the sheer size and structure of her house. Jude gave one last tight hug, and smiled wide for Ralsei "Now when you wanna see me, just throw some pebbles at this window." Jude pointed to the far right window that was just barely noticable through the trees. Ralsei smiled and was choked up with emotions, he had no words. "Maybe I can see you tomorrow?" Jude asked. "Yeah, I will stop by around this time so I'm not spotted by uh... Your family." Ralsei rubbed the back of his scruff. "Good idea Ralsei." Jude gave a tiny kiss on his nose. "See you tomorrow." Jude waved as she walked into her house.
Ralsei touched his tingling nose and smiled wide. He sprinted off of the property and ran back home. Tears in his eyes, he jumped in joy at how well the day went.
