Kinsley's POV

I wake up with a smile on my face, Ashton's arm still around my waist.

Ever since we pushed the bearded man down the stairs I've been feeling more confident in our survival. With a brutal stab wound in his thigh and a likely concussion from falling down the stairs, there's not much he can do anymore.

At this point everyone's hoping the police make their move soon, with the bearded man being so weak at the moment.

When I really think about it, it's kind of stupid for one man to have so much control over 10 teenagers, considering it's 10 to 1, but he also has several guns in his possession.

I stop thinking about the nightmare I'm living and start thinking about Ashton instead. He's so kind to me now and I honestly don't think his rude side will come out again. We finally kissed and whenever I'm not scared out of my mind, I'm replaying the kiss over and over again in my head. Ash was so gentle yet so demanding and there was something super sexy about that.

"Good morning princess," Ashton says, interrupting my thoughts.

"Good morning." I turn around in his arms and smile widely at him.

"You two are so cute it makes me sick." Lisa says, laughing. Everyone else in the room agreed with her statement.

"When all of this is over we should seriously all hang out. We can have a beach day or something!" Whitney exclaims.

"I think all of you will become my best friends after this because of the situation we're in. It's hard not to become BFFs when we're all just trying to survive together." Jen says.

"True, this is definitely a group I could get used to hanging out with." Delaney smiles at all of us, a slight contrast to her usual bad ass attitude.

"So what's the plan for the rest of the day?" Gavin asks, still in bed. Him and Lisa are cuddled up and it's the cutest thing ever.

"I say we just hang out here. Kinsley and I have plenty of food and water. It's not safe to go down there all the time. Let's just wait it out for now." Ashton explains.

"I agree, it's much safer up here." Liam nods.

Calum gets up and goes over to the computer monitor, turning the screen on and opening the small camera icon, revealing the security camera footage we moved here.

It takes me a few minutes to even spot the bearded man on the cameras.

But when I do, my heart stops.

He's hobbling around with a handmade tourniquet around his leg, dragging the dead bodies to the side staircase.

He's setting them all in a pile near the door.

Everyone's watching silently, jaws dropped.

Once he's finished, I watch him head to the kitchen and take out a trash bag. He stuffs all the food from the fridge, freezer, pantry, and cabinets into the bag and then takes it to the office with him.

He's obviously cleaning his mess by putting all the bodies in the same place, and making sure we can't get anymore food by taking all of it.

I'm not sure how long we'll be here, but I really hope it's not long because our food supply won't last past a few more days.

We all sigh and turn away, sitting on our beds and thinking.

Nobody has anything to say.

I mean, what is there to say?
