The proposal

"So, when are you going to propose to Spencer?" Caleb asked out of the blue. Toby and Caleb decide to have a guys night out. The others couldn't come because of work, and also because Toby and Caleb were getting close again

Toby chokes on his water 

"What do you mean?" Toby asked nervously 

"You guys are moving in together, and top of all that, you're having a baby with her"

"I know, I just have to find the right moment and hope shes ready, it's all up to her" Toby sighs

"I'm sure she's going to say yes" Caleb pats him on the back

"I know, everything seems to be working just fine. She's happy we are moving and starting a family-

"then do it, propose to her, you've been in love with her since 11th grade and always wanted a family, take the chance"

"You're right and I have just the plan" Toby smiles

Toby had everything all planned. He had called Hanna and Aria to get everything Spencer would like, Alison and Emily to get Lasagna, and Spaghetti because it's Spencer's favorite food.

Meanwhile, he had set up the barn. Fairy lights everywhere, he put wood in the fireplace and lit a match so the room could be warm. He had a playlist on Spotify of all the songs she loves including "In My Veins" which is their personal favorite song and of course the scrabble board. The one with the gold engravings that said "Always my safe place to land"-S. He had already spelled out "Marry Me?" but instead of the A, its the ring, Not just any ring. It's the ring his mother ring. Before she died she told him to give this ring to his soul mate.

He thanked God he kept this ring and didn't pawn it or give it to the wrong woman.

"We're back" Hanna shouted as they all entered the house. Emily and Alison had placed the cooked food in the oven so it can be warmed and Hanna and Aria placed the many shopping bags on the table neatly

"Hanna, how much did all this cost" he exclaimed

"Relax Romeo, only $500" she said proudly as Aria nodded

"Hanna, really?"

"Hey, you knew what would happen wen you leave Aria and I in charge of holding a credit card" she laughed

Toby thanked the girls and they all left. Now he looked in the bag and saw that there were lots of books that are in Spencer's taste, oxford shoes, maternity clothes and even some baby items like clothes and a crib

Toby had set everything up so all he had to do was wait for Spencer

"Hey I'm back" Spencer greets Toby as soon as she came in

"Hey, how was the job search?" he smiled as he kisses her passionately on her lips

"oh it was great, I had two interviews, so I'm just waiting on a call from one of them" 

Spencer took noticed at the barn and gasped

"Oh Toby, this is all so cute, you did this?" she said in awe

"Well I had some help" he takes her hand and leads her to the dinning table

"Today, we are having your favorite" he said as he place the dish on the table "Spaghetti and Lasagna" he smiles

"It smells amazing and I bet it taste really great too. The baby and I are so hungry"

"Well my two girsl do have to eat" he says as he sits down and makes their plate

"For the last time, it's going to be a boy" she teases

Toby lets out a cute laugh which causes Spencer to giggle

"Well food, and I see shopping bags and scrabble" Spencer examines the room "Is someone trying to get laid" she teases

'Well yes but it's something else too" he smiles as he takes her hand and kisses her knuckles

"I hate to ask this but-

"no I didnt do this for Yvonne, I can promise you that"

Was he reading her mind?

She lets out a breath and smiles again. As they ate, Toby played the music and of course "In my veins" was the first one

"Is this our song?" she gasp

Toby stands up and offers his hand out

"May I have this dance?" he asked

She blushes and takes his hand. He leads them to the middle of the room and began swaying and twirling her around. She moves in closer and rest her head on his chest. Since she's not wearing heels, she's not the same height as him, which Toby likes because it gives him the opportunity to lean down to kiss her since she's short.

"You know, I like it better when you're not wearing heels, I like you when you're short" he whisper in her ear

"Do you know?" she says softly

"I love it when you try to kiss me, you have to stand on your toes to teach me and I get to pick you up and you wrap those legs around my waist"

"Toby" she giggles

After the song was over he took her over to wear the bags were

"Here are a bunch of gifts I had help with"

Spencer opens the bag and sees many of her favorite books, cute sweaters, oxfords and baby clothing

"aww these are adorable" she awed

lastly he lead her to the scrabble board. This was it, he finally was going to propose

"Ah scrabble. This time I will win" she said victoriously

'I hope you didn't mind, I kinda had a head start" he says as he lifted the box

"What you cheating mother-oh my gosh" she said as she looked down at the scrabble board. She turned to face Toby, only to see him on one knee

"Toby"

"Spencer Jill Hastings, you and I have probably the most complicated relationship. We broke up 4 times, 2 was because of A, one was because I had put my job in front of you and the other one because of the scare and long distance, but I know that THIS time, there would be no breaking up. Not anymore. Spencer I love you so much and I mean it with all my heart. You are the one I want to spend my life with. Have our first kid together, grow old with you through all the struggles and I know I apologized a lot but that's only because I really am truly sorry for how I treated you. I was so mean and I didn't even realize it. Because of me, you got your heart broken and always waking up afraid to love again. I will be here now on and forever." Toby took the ring from the board and held it up

"This was my mother's ring and she said to give this to my soulmate and that's you Spence. You are my soulmate and with that being said, will you marry me?" he cried

Spencer nodded "Yes, Toby, yes" she sobbed. He gladly placed the ring on her finger. He stood up and picked her up as she kissed him hard. He held her firm as he made his way to the bed, not daring to take his lips off hers.

Aww my spobes is engaged. Finally.
