«OKAY SO LISTEN. I'D BE LYING IF I SAID I DIDN'T HAVE DOUBTS ABOUT THIS SHOW. I was nervous about the casting, esp with Raven because I really wanted an Indian girl (I could be wrong so please correct me if I am but I feel like a lot of Raven's defining traits are inspired by India) who was at least as old as Ryan Potter (I'm a huge BBRAE shipper, so sue me, they're canon in the comics). After watching the show, though, I'll admit she's cute & their brother/sister relationship is cute. I also wasn't sure about Robin & Starfire, since I really wanted them to be teens, but I understand now why they chose to cast it the way they did. Also, side rant, but I was fucking pissed at all the racist comments toward Anna Diop, because she is a queen and Starfire is a fucking ALIEN. Why is there an assumption that she should be white?? Is it because y'all have your heads stuffed so far up your asses that you think white is the norm??? And don't give me that bullshit about how she's technically "orange in skin colour" because that still doesn't equate to white. Sit the fuck down. Anyways, I was excited about Ryan Potter from Day 1 and he exceeded all my expectations. I love him. Protect him. That's all. »
