Authour's Note: Okay, so I really like this chapter for some odd reason and if you know me, you know that I usually don't particularly care for anything that I write. Lol. But yeah. I'm updating a lot today because I'm really excited about this fic and I can't wait for you guys to see what I have in store for this. I haven't gotten any comments on this fic yet and it makes me think that you guys don't like this fic and I'm getting all excited over nothing. So yeah. How about proving me wrong? Are you guys liking it? Do you like Parlex? How do you guys feel about Jack not liking Parker? Don't be silent readers, guys! :) Thanks so much for reading! (Holy hell, this was a long author's note........)

Friday couldn't have come faster for Parker. To say that he was excited would be an understatement. By the time the door bell rang that night, Parker was pretty sure that he was going to explode. He adjusted his figure-hugging black and white striped t-shirt and ran a hand through his black hair to make it look stylishly messy before opening the front door to a grinning Alex.
"You come here often?" Alex said with a smirk as he ran his eyes up and down Parker's tall figure. Parker laughed lightly and felt his ears growing red. Alex was wearing a black t-shirt that had a flying pig on it (He would soon learn that the brand was called Glamour Kills) and a pair of ripped black skinny jeans. As always, he had that grey beanie resting on top of his messy hair.
"Shut up, Gaskarth. Lets get going,"Parker said stepping outside and closing the door behind him.
"Someone's excited,"Alex teased, shoving Parker's shoulder slightly and making him step in the grass. He was quick to re-gain his balance and shoved Alex back. Alex laughed and held open the car door and waited for Parker to get inside. Alex walked around to the driver's side and got in and the took off down the road to the venue that they would be playing at.
"We gotta pick up Jack before we go,"Alex said, not taking his eyes off the road. Parker nodded and pulled out his phone. He had a text message from one of his remaining friends from Tennessee, Noelle.
Noelle had been there for Parker when no one else was. When his evil ex-boyfriend got what he wanted, he dumped Parker and posted pictures of him on the school website. Being gay in high school was hard enough. Imagine having a picture of your dick on the internet for everyone to see. He was turned into the laughing-stock of the school. Even the people he thought would always be there for him left. Some of those "friends" even joined in on the cruel taunting and jokes that Parker had to hear every day. Noelle stayed, though. She stood up for Parker. She talked him out of it when he wanted to hurt himself. Noelle was, and still is, his hero.
Hey Parker! How's Baltimore? Meet any cute guys? I miss you. xxx
Parker smiled at the text message that was displayed on his screen and texted her back: Baltimore's pretty good, actually. No one here makes fun on my dick. :) I'm actually with a guy right now! He's the lead singer of a popular local band and he's taking me to one of their gigs! I'm essited. Miss you, too. <3
He hit send and set his phone in his lap, looking over at Alex. It was dark except for the street lights that they would pass under that would brighten up Alex's face for a few seconds. He really was beautiful. His phone buzzed again in his lap, making him stop admiring Alex's beauty.
"Who ya texting?"Alex asked, glancing at the lit up phone in Parker's lap.
"My best friend from back home." Parker sighed slightly and decided to tell Alex what happened. He was pretty confident that Alex wouldn't laugh or make fun of him. So he told him about his evil ex and his best friend. Alex was silent until Parker finished his story.
"Shit, dude. That sucks. I'm sorry that happened." Alex reached over and put a hand on Parker's thigh, rubbing small circles over the thin fabric of his skinny jeans. Parker knew that his face was probably blood red because of the small gesture.
"D-Don't worry about it. I'm trying to forget about it, y'know?"
Alex nodded and put the hand that was rubbing circles on Parker's leg back on the steering wheel as he turned into a driveway that led up to an average sized brick house. "I'll be back,"Alex said, climbing out of the car and walking up the driveway to the front door. Parker decided to look at the text that he had recieved.
That's good! Ooooooo, a lead singer? What's his name? What's he like? You'd better tell him that if he hurts you, I'll put my foot in his ass. ;)
Parker laughed out loud. Noelle always knew just what to say to put a smile on his face. He was just getting ready to type a reply when the passenger door opened. Parker looked up to see Jack glaring down at him.
"What are you doing here?" He said in a clearly irritated tone.
"I- uh..."Parker said, flustered because of Jack's reaction to him being there. He thought Jack knew he was coming to their gig tonight. He was there when they were talking about it earlier that week...
"Whatever,"Jack said closing the car door and opening the door to the backseat. He threw his guitar in and climbed in, slamming the door closed. Alex came back a few minutes later. Why he took longer to get back was a mystery to Parker but he decided not to question it.
The tension in the car as they drove off towards the venue was almost unbareable. Alex noticed it and decided to put some music on in hopes of lightening the mood. It didn't lighten the mood. Not at all. If anything, it just made it more awkward.
Parker decided to go ahead and reply to Noelle. His name's Alex Gaskarth and he is absolutely amazing. He's fuckin' gorgeous and he's really sweet and cool. But I don't think it's him that you have to worry about. It's the band's guitarist/Alex's best friend, Jack, that you may have to worry about. I don't think he likes me for some reason...
Parker hit send and leaned his head against the headrest. He could practically feel the horrible and painful things that Jack was doing to him in his head.
Why didn't Jack like him?
