Chapter Six

Anthony and Erika knew Jake's secret, but didn't want to expose it to the rest of the Team 10 members unless Jake said it was okay. They knew this was gonna be difficult, but they wanted to let Jake know that they will always support him no matter what. So they had decided that they wanted to confront him about this incident.

It was earlier in the morning which was when Jake usually woke up. Anthony and Erika woke up early only for this because Jake is usually the only one awake during this time.

"You ready?" Anthony whispered to Erika.

"Not really, but I'm doing this for Jake" Erika whispered back.

"It's Jake, no matter how we ask him he's gonna understand and open up to us".

"I know, I just don't want him to think we're trying to invade his privacy".

"I understand, but we have to do this for Jake's sake or else he'll keep it bottled up inside forever".

Erika nodded and they headed downstairs. They found Jake eating toast at the kitchen table. Erika and Anthony both walked up to the table and sat with Jake.

"Hey babe" Erika greeted. Jake had a confused look on his face and said "you guys are up early".

"Yeah, we just wanted to talk with you about something" Erika said while holding his hand.

"At 7:00 in the morning?" Jake asked confusingly.

"Yeah well, we wanted to make sure no one was eavesdropping and recording us for their vlogs" Anthony said.

Jake nodded and took another bite of his toast. "Okay... so what's so important that you have to wake up this early to talk about?" Jake asked.

Anthony looked at Erika and could tell she was trying not to have a panic attack. He looked back up at Jake and took a giant gulp.

"So... the night you knocked Logan's beer out of his hand, I snuck outside and listened to you and your dad's argument. I just wanted to make sure you were okay you know? But then I heard some things that concerned me... and after you left, your dad was rambling about you and Logan. And I'm so sorry if I'm wrong, but... did Logan rape you while he was drunk? Everyone knows you've been acting differently lately which has concerned us all, but only Erika and I know about this part of it" Anthony finished.

Jake's eyes had widened and his hands were shaking. "Oh fuck! Oh fuck! They know everything! But they can't! They can't know how disgusting I am! My family will be ruined!" Jake panicked in his head.

Jake let go of Erika's hand and got up and began walking away. "Jake wait! We're not here to judge you we're here to support you!" Erika called out while her and Anthony followed after Jake. Erika tried to reach for Jake's hand again, but Jake smacked her hand away.

"Jake wait a second!" Anthony called out and grabbed his shoulder.

Jake turned around and his eyes were filled with rage. "GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME YOU TWO! WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU ASSUME THAT?! AM I REALLY THAT DISGUSTING?! YOU GUYS CAN GO FUCK OFF!" Jake spat at them.

"But Jake..." Anthony and Erika said at the same time before they were interrupted.

"I SAID FUCK OFF!" Jake hissed at them and stormed out the front door.

Anthony turned to Erika and saw that she was silently sobbing. That's when he realized that he wasn't going to let Jake get away with his behavior. Anthony walked out the door and saw Jake walking away.

"OH THIS IS SO YOU JAKE!" Anthony shouted at Jake. That's when Jake froze and turned around to face Anthony.

"WHAT WAS THAT ANTHONY?!" Jake shot back while walking towards Anthony. Anthony also stomped towards Jake until they were face to face.

"I said this is so you Jake!" Anthony spat in his face.

"And what the fuck is that supposed to mean?!" Jake hissed.

"Every time someone tries to help you, you attack them and shut down!"

"I don't need your help Anthony, there's nothing wrong with me!"

"Then why are you so angry?"

"Because you made an assumption against my brother that he would.... well it doesn't matter! It was stupid and horrible!"

"Well I'm sorry Jake! That doesn't mean you have to explode on us! Erika is inside crying her eyes out right now because of how you just treated her and I!"

"Well maybe you guys shouldn't be so stupid and nosey!"

Anthony was shocked. Jake has called him stupid in a non joking way. How could he do that? He was only trying to help. Tears fell down Anthony's cheeks.

"Wow... You know what Jake? I'm done. If you want to disrespect your friends for trying to help you, then so be it! Just know that you're gonna end up all alone after you've pushed everyone away!" Anthony exclaimed.

"D-Don't s-say that! You w-wouldn't l-leave me" Jake stuttered since he was crying so hard.

"What choice would I have if you keep pushing me away? Jake this is what makes you an easy target. Whenever someone hurts you, you shove it down deep until it comes out after you fall apart from being victimized over and over again" Anthony uttered.

"Y-You think I'm weak?!" Jake asked.

"No of course not Jake! That's not what I'm saying! I think..." Anthony started but was interrupted.

"You wouldn't know what real pain is anyways since your life is so perfect! I don't get why you ever complain!" Jake snapped back.

Jake instantly regretted what he said. He knew Anthony's life was far from perfect and Anthony thought he understood that. Jake had regret in his eyes while Anthony's filled with rage.

"A-Anthony, I-I..." Jake stuttered before he got interrupted.

"YOU KNOW WHAT? YOU ARE WEAK! NO, YOU'RE WORTHLESS! AND YOU DISGUST ME!" Anthony snarled.

That's when Anthony instantly regretted what he said as well. They were both staring at each other in disbelief with tears in their eyes. They wanted to beat the shit out of each other, but they were too shocked at what they had told each other.

A moment later Anthony turned away and sprinted back inside the house. Staying in Jake's presence made his guilt even worse.

Jake just stood there trying to wipe his constantly falling tears, but more came flooding out of his eyes. He was trying to calm is stutter breathing from crying so hard, but he failed to do so.

Jake hated how he treated Anthony and Erika, but he was just trying to scare them away. He couldn't let them in like that, it could ruin his family and it would be all his fault. But he was shocked when Anthony fought back because it all turned too real when they were arguing. Jake hated himself because he's losing his friendships to protect his brother... his rapist.

"What have I done?!" Jake quietly panicked to himself.
