Kendall Pov

Ryleigh is driving me to a restaurant then dance. We are celebrating me beating Maddie in a solo! "Turn that up!"I demand. Soon we are jamming and we didn't see that big truck and Bam! Suddenly everything is black and I see nothing.

3 months earlier

Kendall Pov

" Today we will have a new team member on our junior elite competition team."Miss Abby says with excitement, so with my pleasure Kalani come out. A girl with brown hair that is really pretty comes out. "This week Maddie and Chloe you have solos so you are against eachother."Miss Abby says. "Great another Chloe and Maddie showdown."I think to myself. Kalani you will have a duet with Kendall. I smile at Kalani and she smiles back. I feel like we are going to be great friends! I see Maddie glare at me so I roll my eyes at Maddie. I can have more friends than just her. "The group dance is about people who are not perfect and it's called Not Perfect."Miss Abby informs us. "Moms your girls are going to go in the den while I talk to you ."Miss Abby says. I already see our moms rolling their eyes and stuff. While we are in the den I exchange phone numbers with Kalani and make conversation with her. Soon we are bffs. The first thing Miss Abby runs is Maddie's solo, then Chloe's and then it's me and Kalani. Our duet is a jazz duet and it's called Rather Be it's more of a contemporary song. I love our duet. Kalani is a really good and flexible dancer. I think she could beat Maddie in a solo. After the duet we are all dismissed. Nia tells me in acro class how she got her standing back tuck and other acro moves. I say good job and go into the car with my mom. "So how do you think the new girl is?"My mom asks as she drives us to our house. I think she is a very friendly person and could beat Maddie in a solo. " Can Kalani come over tommorow." I ask. "I don't see why not I like her mother and I need to talk to her privately for sure."My mom says.

I can't wait for tommorow!! When I get home my older sister Ryleigh is watching tv. She is ignoring me since mom let me use one of her iphone cases. So I run up to the tv and block her from watching it. She grabs her iphone and goes into her room. She's really mad! Suddenly my iphone buzzes and it's Maddie. She tells me about her lyrical solo and how much she loves it and she asks about Kalani. I just say she is very good. After about 15 minutes she hangs up and I can finally watch some tv and relax. After awhile my mom says something about do you want to get your nails done and I simply shake my head and say yes. I get pink with designs on them. My mom gets a plain dark red. We decide to go shopping and she got like 10 outfits while I got an iphone case from Claire's. I go into my room and soon I fall asleep.
