-Layla Perry-

"Okay, let's go over the plan." My brother said, "You three will go in and trash his dressing room once we get to the arena, without getting caught, and Layla and I will go spook pretty boy." He repeated for the millionth time on this ride.

We were on our way to the arena Hunter was playing here in Nashville to spook him in to thinking he needs a body guard. We parked a block away and the goons headed to the dressing room while my brother and I located Hunter himself. The show ended 35 minutes ago, so he should be coming out any minute.

We waited by the back door for a few minutes, before he slipped out of the arena hoping to not be seen. "Ready?" My brother whispered, and I just nodded and pulled a ski mask over my face.

To our surprise, he didn't go to his tour bus, but turned and started walking down the street.

We followed close behind him, and when he came close to an alley, we pulled him into it. I held him down so he couldn't fight while my brother punched him a few times in the face.

He knelt down next to Hunter, close to his ear, whispering "watch your back." Before punching him once more in the groin. We exited the alley and casually made our way back to the van, where the three idiots were waiting.

-Hunter Hayes-

I laid on the cement in the alley, holding my stomach. I finally stood up and ran as fast as I could to the arena. I made my way inside to my dressing room, only to find it completely trashed.

My belongings were scattered around the room, the few pieces of furniture flipped upside down, and on the wall "watch your back" was written in red spray paint.

I quickly ran to the stage where my manager Dann was helping pack up. "Dann!" I shouted, looking around for him. "Hunter! There you are, I've been searching- oh my god why is your mouth bloody!?!?"

I ignored his question and drug him to my dressing room, showing him the mess. I proceeded to tell him how I was pulled in to the alley by the two guys, and how I came back to my dressing room a complete disaster.

He ran his fingers through his hair, staring at the mess in front of us. "Hunter?"

"Yeah?"

"How would you feel about a body guard?"

I thought for a minute. That is what I needed. Someone to, well, guard my body. They did say to watch my back, and felt it necessary to spray paint it on my wall in a bloody red color. "I think that's a great idea." I said grabbing a tissue to clean up my lip.

"We start interviews Monday. Get back to your tour bus and clean up."

I nodded my head and cautiously headed to my bus. One question kept going through my mind.

Why me?
