Tessa Michaels had grown up in the foster system after being left at a fire house by her birth mother at a few days old now 24 years old she moves to Chicago after finding out her mother's identity hoping to find the family she always wanted after, but she found more than what she expected.
She had ran away from her foster home at 16 just making ends meet she saw a fire happen and watched the firefighters save lives so after moving to Chicago she joins the fire academy but when she is placed at 51 she doesn't know what to do because she ends up working with her birth mothers husband and when the truth comes out about who she really is will she give up the career she always wanted.
