Goodbye Town..

The next day, we went back to Tenessee.. Nick went to the cemetery and did the work since I didn't had the courage to do it..

He came back with his face covered in dirt and the box in his hands

- Here! Lets end this all?!

I looked down at the box and sighed - Lets do this

He came behind me and took my necklace off giving it to my hand

I opened the box and slowly lifted the top.

In there, there were photos, junk.. and my grandma's necklace..

I took it out and Nick picked up the photos

- This is worth a million dollars... - I said looking at the necklace

- Baby.. We've met before..

I turned my head to him - What?

He smiled and turned the picture to me and I saw me playing with a curly haired boy in a sand playground

- That is you?!

He laughed - there are actually quite a few photos in here..

His face dropped when the photos started to transform in the crime scene..

I turned my head and picked up the last photos putting them in the box - How about letting the past go..

He looked at me and I smiled even though my eyes were crying - Just.. let it all go..

He came closer and kissed my head - That would be a good idea.. but are you sure you wanna do it?

I nodded and cleaned my hands - Yeah... lets burry this and never pick it up again..

He picked up the box and went outside - 3 steps south.. - he turned smiling

- I'm coming with you..

I ran out the door and we walked down the street.. We arrived at the cemetery and buried the box..

I was not just letting my past go.. I was saying goodbye to my family.. I was going to New York..

We went back to the town and sat on a bench in the park

- Are you okay?

I looked up at his face and wiped the dirt off - I had to do this..

He putted his hand on top of mine and closed his eyes - You're so strong..

- I'm going to the city with you.. - I blurted

He opened his eyes - What?

- I wanna leave with you.. I wanna run away from the past.. just you and me.. living in that glorious apartment looking down at the stars..

- You sure?

I nodded and leaned my head against his shoulder - Yes.. Unless you.. don't want..

- You're so funny - he said sarcastically.. - Wow.. I'm so happy but at the same time so sad..

- Why?

- Because I'll miss this place..

I chuckled and rubbed my hand on his leg - yeah.. I will too..

That night we went to my house with a bag and I putted everything inside of it.. clothes, make up, jewelry.. I almost forgot my guitar but remembered on time

We went back to Nick's place and he made his bags..

I quickly went to Selena's and rang on her door. She answered and hugged me. I told her the news and she was shocked at first but then understood

- Can you keep the horses?..

She smiled - I would love to!!

I hugged one last time and we said our goodbyes..

Next morning, me and Nick were on the road again.. but this time.. I wasn't coming back!.

He opened the door and I went inside - Hello.. home?!

He laughed - Yes.. our home..

I smiled and helped unload the truck. We kept everything in our bags and went to sleep since the trip took the whole day..

Nick POV.

I couldn't believe she was moving with me.. it was kind of a dream..

I woke up and saw her still asleep.. I moved out of bed and picked up my jeans taking some photos out. I went to a box and put them there..

After it, I walked to the kitchen and made breakfast and watched a bit of TV. I heard a sound come from the bedroom and seconds later, she apeared still with her eyes closed and scratching her messy hair

- Good morning!

She turned - Yeah.. morning.. great.. - and walked inside the kitchen.. Guess she's not really a morning person..

- Where are the mugs? - I heard her shout

- Second door up..

I looked back at the TV and turned the channels to start watching "Good Morning America"

She sat next to me with a mug and started sipping it

That day, we mostly hanged out around New York buying stuff for her.. I wanted for her to feel at home since she has never been out of Tenessee in her entire life. 

We went shopping and luckily, she was not like those girls from the movies who love to buy clothes.. She was more interested in video games so we ended up buying a playstation.. she looked like a teenager when she was chosing the games

We went back home and hanged in there.. I had also bought a computer and she was delighted with it.. I was teching her how to use it

- So what happens if I search your name?

I smirked - Try..

She typed my name and it apeared lots of articles about interviews and videos of me o stage.. I left to the kitchen and when I returned, I saw her head moving by the beat of a music video

- Do you like it?

She turned her face and smiled - It's awesome! One day.. I'll have my name on this thing too!

I laughed - Yeah.. we still have to get you a job..

She slapped her hand against my mouth closing it and glared - You're gonna be sitting there! I want to do it alone!

- But Demi I have cont--

- I don't care! - she cutted me - I wanna at least try

I sighed - Okay.. but then, I'll tell you "I told you so" because you'll see how hard it is to get in a record label..

- I can do this.. don't you believe in me? 

I looked at her worried eyes - Of course I do.. I just wanted to help you..

She smiled and leaned in to kiss me putting the laptop away - I apreciate it.. I'm going to sleep..

I nodded and she went to our bedroom while I stayed watching a little more of TV..
