Nate POV
We arrived at the restaurant around 20 minutes ago. We left not too long after Camila. "Dude look up," I hear Jeff say. "What?" I ask. "Your wife and that guy," he says. "Didn't she say she was supposed to be at a business meeting?," he questions. "Sometimes they may meet with investors at restaurants," I say not trying to sound bothered by it. I watch them as they go into a private room.
It has been about 45 minutes. I couldn't eat my food, I just kept thinking about Camila with Drew.
Just as we were about to leave, I spot Camila getting into the car with Drew. That sight makes my blood boil.Camila POV
It wasn't too long after I arrive when the others show up. "How was dinner?" I ask. "It was great," they all say. "We went to this place called Luciano's," Stacie says. "My business meeting was there, but I didn't see you all," I say. "We are all going back out later to go to the club. Please join us," she says. "Maybe," I say. "Please," Stacie begs.
When I enter the door, Nate is fuming mad. "Are you cheating on me?" He asks. "I'm not cheating on you," I reply. "Don't lie to me and make me look like a fool," he yells. "Keep your voice down", I say. "Do you like him or something?" He questions. "Who is him?" I ask unknowingly.
"Don't play dumb. You know I mean Drew." "No. I work with him and that's all," I say upset.
"It's disrespectful. He buys you gifts and everything else, and you act like I'm supposed to be ok," Nate fumes. "It's not like that. We are just friends," I defend. "You must be blind to not see that he wants more from you," Nate says irritated. "I'm faithful," I raise my voice. "I am a man with needs. You haven't let me touch you in a year," he says still upset.
"You know why." I say. "I've being trying to work things out with you," Nate says frustrated. "Nothing I do seems please you Camila. We might as well not even be married. We're more of roommates than anything," he says still frustrated. "So this is how you really feel," I say hurt. "Yes. You are the one who hasn't tried, which leads me to think you don't want to be in this anymore than me," Nate says still upset. "It has been so hard for me, but I am trying. We need to work on other things before we do what you want. That's the problem. You only want to do things your way. Where were you when I needed you most. Emotionally you are not there for me," I tear up. "How can I when you don't let me in?," he replies. "Because you have hurt me so much. I'm trying. It's not easy, I say."
The argument soon ended afterwards . That's how things are all the time. We argue most of the time we are around each other. It's like it is hard for us to even have a civil conversation without it blowing up into a big argument. There are many nights when I cry because I love him, yet he has hurt me over again.
"Is everything ok?" Jessica asks me. "Everything is fine," "I was worried because I heard yelling." "It was just a disagreement," I say. "Are you sure? Look I saw you with that man this evening. It didn't look like business," she says concerned. "I assure you it was just business." "You know you can tell me anything." "I promise. Me and him are just friends and colleagues." "Whatever you say."
I'll be glad when this trip if over and I can go home.
