Reckless and Relentless (Jalex)

One Simple Question...Why?

I'd tried staying away from Alex since he broke up with me, as soon as our set was over-or whatever included us as a band, I would split off ways or make some sort of excuse that seemed good enough in my head.We didn't even do our usual peck on stage anymore, I simply did my own stunts and things and Alex did his. It was like we were utter strangers. The tension was rising though, our roadies-anyone associated with the band began to notice changes, even the fans, they all knew something was up, there were no more Jalex moments on stage.

Well, pardon my rant, to the point now....Today, it was Alex and I's anniversary, it had nearly been a completely full year of our relationship, but no-it ended, it had to.

I slid out of my bunk and turned on the xbox, challenging myself to a little videogames to try and kill time before the set tonight.

"Yo jack, mind if I join you?" Rian plopped himself down on the couch, grabbing a controller.

"Not at all." I replied, sparing him a quick glance.

"Uh, so what happened with you and Alex? You both seem distant..."

I sighed, I knew this was coming, the truth would end up getting out sooner or later, so why not now?

"We broke up Rian, uh, so I've just been keeping my distance." I said quietly, pretending to focus on the title menu of the videogame, setting it up on multiplayer.

"Ohhh, so that explains why he was ki-" Rian said, more to himself than me. He was cut off by the sound of Alex in the doorway.

"Heyy Rian! Jack." Alex exclaimed patting Rian on the back and giving me a small nod. I inwardly groaned, still silent, what was Rian about to say? Fuck.

Once the team deathmatch ended, I threw my xbox controller onto the couch and left the tour bus, taking a walk on the perfectly cut green grass, completely pissed off. I guess I'll have to ask Rian later....Wait. Maybe Zach knows? I dialled up his number, waiting a moment or two, finally he picked up.

"Yo, Zach?" I asked him.

"Oh hey Jack, what's up?" He said.

"I-has Alex been hanging with anybody lately? Rian was mentioning something about him and then he kinda interrupted." I grimaced. Sadly I didn't get the answer I was looking for.

"....Not really, I mean all he does is hang out at We Are The In Crowd's bus sometimes. That's all I know anyway, and why-" He was about to ask another question but I cut him off.

"Thank's Zach. See you later!" I hung up the call, turning on my heel and ran over to WATIC's bus.

I didn't bother to knock since I've known them all for quite a while, no privacy intended when you're friends right?

No one noticed as I got on quietly, I heard light snoring coming from one of the bunks, a light strum of a guitar coming from another, I headed into the lounge where I could hear the sound of TV commercials, then I regretted it all, coming here, to even bother what or why Alex was up to. He was making out with Taylor Jardine all over the couch. Worse, they were both shirtless. You could tell the passion they shared. And that was all the proof I needed, with that, I stepped off of the tour bus, closing the door with a slam.

I didn't even know what came over me, why I was so jealous, he's moved on-or he already moved on a while back, that was probably why he had been avoiding me all this time. Then, I did one thing I willed myself not to.

I cried.

I was so fucking angry, I don't know what came over me, I was stupid enough to not know that Taylex was indeed real, it was happening, I never managed to realise how close they were to eachother. Tears streaked my face angrily, as I ran, I ran and ran and ran. Not caring where I was going, finally ending up in another green empty field.

"Why does god hate me? Does he even exist? Why the FUCK is my life so hell? I don't get much in return for being nice do I? All I seem to do is get FUCKING HURT." I yelled to no one in particular.

I decided I didn't care anymore, I was being selfish, I wanted to waste my life away. Without another thought, I let my emotions get the best of me.

I roughly tugged out my phone and dialled up a number I would never call again. Putting it to my ear it rung twice before I heard his husky voice.

"Hey, stone. I don't know if you remember me...Jack Barakat ring a bell?"
