"Rise and shine, Scotty! Mom is cooking blueberry waffles for breakfast, it's our favorite!"
Nikki tugged my arm that was dangling at the side of my bed.
"Mhmm," I mumbled, slowly opening my eyes. Nikki giggled and poked my nose.
I raised my eyebrow, "What's so funny, princess?"
As soon as I asked, she ran out of my room still giggling. I quickly wear my basketball shorts and walk down the stairs for the delicious waffles my mom makes once a week.
Before I even made it to the bottom, I heard laughter. My mom and dad's laugh echoed the room. When I went in the dining room, I saw Nikki rolling on the floor, silently laughing as she ran out of breath.
"Why are you guys laughing?" I question them. They didn't even notice me asking, I feel so ignored. Nah, I'm kidding. What's so funny, though?
After a few minutes, I see Rix smirking as he walked out the bathroom. Fuck, what did he do this time?
I nod at him saying, "Hey dude, mind telling me why my family is laughing?"
"Oh it's nothing," he chuckles as he takes a seat. When I walked towards the table, I noticed a video playing on the phone beside my mom.
As soon as I saw what was playing, I shouted, "What the hell, Rix?!"
He then started laughing along with my parents and sister. The video kept playing, seeing me dancing like some sort of dying whale. Damn, being drunk makes my dance moves suck.
I glare at him, "Didn't you drag me out because someone was about to video me?"
"It was hilarious, okay? Sorry not sorry," he says as he laughs. "Girls were only watching because you took off your shirt while the guys were laughing their ass off."
"Oh my god, I don't think I could go to school tomorrow."

Today is the first day of school after spring break. I decided to go early, since I like being punctual when I have the chance. Sometimes, I get late because I need to take Nikki to school whenever my parents need to work early. My mother is a doctor in one of the biggest hospitals in our state. She usually arrives home just in time to see us after school but we never see her the next morning. My dad is a professor in a college I plan to go to when I graduate. I made sure my grades were up so my parent's effort wouldn't go to waste. I looked at my watch, reading '7:30AM'. I was an hour early for school so I sat on the bleachers by the baseball field.
"Why are you here so early," I hear a someone ask. I turn around, thinking that it would be Summers standing behind me, but I was wrong. It was just my music teacher when I was in the seventh grade.
I smile at her saying, "I guess I got too excited?"
She chuckled and entered the school.
When an hour passed, I entered the school and walked to the classroom of my favorite subject which is Biology. I was near the door when someone suddenly bumped my shoulders, making him drop his phone.
"Sorry," he says.
"It's cool. Sorry about your phone," I tell him. I quickly glanced, seeing someone familiar in the wallpaper. I enter the room a few minutes after that.
Time flew quickly. It was lunch already so I met up with Rixon which I never had a class with because he isn't the brightest. We always ate by the baseball field where there weren't much people. "I couldn't wait for summer," he says. I realized it was almost summer. Baseball camp is so near.
"I know right."
It was almost summer and I haven't found Summers after meeting her in the party. Okay, maybe I'm overreacting. It's been 2 days only, but still. She's such a mystery, she even introduced herself with her surname. She didn't look like a nerd, but she was definately not popular.
'Take your shirt off!'
"Damnit, Rix! Stop playing that!"
"I can't, oh my god," he says as he laughed out loud. It was probably loud enough to be heard on the other side of the field. "It's funny because you dance like a dying whale."
"I was fucking drunk, alright? Plus, have you ever seen a dying whale?"
He didn't stop laughing until lunch ended. Okay, I must admit that it is quite hilarious but it's so embarrassing! I swear, I've been trying to avoid the people who went to the party since first period. When I was about to enter my next period, the basketball jocks blocked my way.
"Nice dance, Winston," he holds his laugh. Great.
"I don't have time for this," I tell Jack, the captain of their team.
His team laughs as I made my way to the classroom.

"I'm going home earlier today. Could you please go to the grocery and buy some fruits?"
"Okay, mom. See you later, love you," I say as she ended the call.
Right now, I'm on my way to pick up Nikki, but since I was dismissed earlier, I decided to take a walk in the park. I took a seat on the bench by the lake and enjoyed the view. Many children were playing in the playground while some teenagers and adults were having picnics. One of the teens having a picnic looked quite familiar, but I couldn't recognize her from behind. She was alone, reading a book, seeming like she was waiting for someone. I'm pretty sure I met her before. I stood up and made my way to her, but when I was so close to her, Jack approached her.
Loud enough to hear, he says with a horrible fake accent, "Hey, love."
She chuckled as she gave him a hug, "Oh my gosh, you're accent sucks."
