"You understand the plan right boy?" My dad asks
"Yes sir" I say looking at my shoes
"Let's go over it one more time" he says "Because I'm not sure you do"
"I'm gonna get Hanna alone, away from everyone else, and then I'm gonna give you the signal" I say.
"Correct" he says
"I don't get why I have to do this, she is my best friend and I really, really love her" I say
"Love?" He asks "Love makes you weak!"
"But Father-" I start. He cuts me off by slapping me in the face.
"No! This girl has to go! She not only is a distraction towards you, but she's the daughter of Allen and Rebecca Mckenna! Our worst enemies!" He shouts.
"She is not a distraction!" I shout back, with newly found courage.
"Look at you! You're weak! You're disrespecting your own family for this stupid girl!" He yells. "Now. You will go through with the plan or else!" Blackmail, of course. He knows my weakness.
"Yes Father" I say. He hands me a gun and walks out of my room. I put it on my bedside table and sit back on my bed with my head in my hands.
I'm so sorry I have to do this to you Hanna. But I don't have a choice.
I love you Hanna Abigail Adams-Yaw.
