When I get inside the house. I change my clothes and put my hair in a towel. And sit at my window. Glaring at Ryland. When he looks up I stick up my middle finger. Ryland shakes his head and looks down. After a few minutes he looks up a second time. I do it again but with both hands and stick out my tongue. I see him say he will be right back and he gets up and walks to the house. I run to my bed and get under the covers. And closing my eyes and slow my breathing. Trying to make him think I am sleeping.
"Hanna Abigail Adams-Yaw!" He yells. Uh oh full name alert. I hear him stomping up the stairs. My door opens up a few seconds later.
" what is with the attitude Missy " he says I stay quiet
"Hanna I know your awake" he says. I say nothing.
"HANNA ABIGAIL ADAMS-YAW ANSWER ME NOW!" he yells
I sit up.
"You sent me to my room for a harmless prank that wasn't my idea" I say
" SHANE COULD HAVE DROWN CAUSE OF "YOUR HARMLESS PRANK" He yells
" THE POOL IS AT MOST 3 FEET DEEP AND SHANE IS 6 FEET TALL! BESIDES, IT'S WASN'T MY IDEA IT WAS GARRETTS" I yell.
"I DON'T CARE" Ryland yells. I stand up and grab my sketchbook and phone. I push past Ryland taking my hair out in the process
"Where do you think your going?" Ryland asks
"Out" I say flatly
"You don't know your way around" Ryland says
"I'll figure it out" I say stomping down the stairs. I put my shoes on and open the door. Slamming it on the way out.
"Hanna where are you-"Garrett starts to say
"fuck off watts" I yell and burst into a run. I'm about 3 blocks away by the time I stop.
I walk another 2 blocks then end up at a park.i sit down on the swing and I put my earbuds in my ears and turn on nightmare by set it off. Then open my sketchbook and start drawing. Completely ignoring the world.
When I look up again. I'm getting tapped on the shoulder. I look up to see non other than Shane and Ryland. They look fuming mad.
"Fancy seeing you here" Ryland says
"I did tell you I was going out" I say
"Get in the car" Shane says Flatly
"Oh no Uber. You always Uber" I day sarcastically
"Go now" Ryland says
"Whatever" I say and put my earbuds back in. Listening to Volbeat at full volume. I walk to the car and get in. Focusing on my phone. Then next thing I know we are home. I get put of the car. Slamming the door with a little more force then nessicery. And walk inside. I walk towards the stairs but Shane and Ryland stop me. Ryland pulls me to the kitchen and sits me down across from him and shane.
"You got 2 minutes to tell me what all thus attitude is about before we ground you for a month" he says
"You know what it's about. Youre gonna get rid of me. The fact that kids like me stay for no longer than a month. I'm just trying to speed up the process" I yell and shane and Ryland look shocked at my answer.
