MARIE HUMMED as she awoke, the sky rising to a navy blue shade. She always awoke early on weekends to do tasks for her older brother before he had to go to work. She stood, stretching, which allowed her bones to crack and pop into place. She quietly walked out of her room, heading downstairs. She then entered the kitchen, switching on the light. Her eyes almost immediately shut after she did, the brightness blinding her. After blinking a few times, she walked to the fridge. She opened it, pulling out the eggs, bread, and butter. Hope he doesn't mind eggs and toast she thought, setting the ingredients on the counter before getting on her knees. Marie opened the cabinet and peeked her head in before her arm extended into it, grasping the handle of the pan. She cautiously pulled the heavy item out, not wanting to knock it into anything and cause a ruckus. As much as she had a black and stone cold, she still loved and respected her brother.
After making two serving of eggs and a few pieces of toast, the sun was up and bright before Marie heard faint footsteps come down the stairs. Marie looked over her shoulder as she was preparing her brothers lunch, two baloney and cheese sandwiches, smiling once she saw her green haired brother. He stretched, returning the smile as he walked over.
"Morning hon," he said as he ruffled her hair, kissing her temples as she let a giggle escape. "Morning, Anti," she replied. The two both had thick Irish accents, which was very difficult to hide. After Marie was finished packing Anti's lunch, the two sat on the couch together and watched Steven Universe as they ate. Marie was thinking, and then looked up at Anti.
"Could I come with y' t' work..? T' help out..?" She asked nervously, afraid that Anti would laugh and say she was idiotic for asking such a thing. But instead, he smiled. "Only if y' really want, honey." Marie smiled brightly, nodding her head enthusiastically. Anti smiled more, ruffling her hair as he said "Then why don't you go hurry and change, I'll make your lunch". Marie nods, setting her plate and fork on the coffee table before rushing upstairs.
"What to wear, what to wear..," Marie muttered under her breath as she dug through her closet. She smiled once she found her purple and black long sleeve that had a hood on it. She also pulled out a pair of ripped jeans, quickly stripping from her pajamas and putting on her desired outfit. She slipped on her combat boots, looking at herself in the mirror. A little eye shadow wouldn't hurt..right? Anti always hated when Marie put makeup on, but she couldn't help it! It was the only way to hide her pain and misery. She got her eye shadow palette out, brushing it lightly against the black and dabbing her eyes. There, just to make them look smokey. Barely noticeable! She thought, rushing out of the bathroom .She bumped into Anti, who was in his uniform; a black T-Shirt and jeans.
"Go back in," he said.
"What, why?" Marie asked, tilting her head and raising a brow. "Because you have makeup on. No makeup today," he said, Marie slightly huffing as she walked back in. Anti followed, wetting a cloth before wiping her eyelids clean from the black powder. He smiled once he was finished. "See? Beautiful just that way," he said, making Marie blush slightly. She couldn't help but smile. What would she do without him?
Falcon awoke to a cat jumping on to her stomach. She flinched slightly when the cat hit her stomach, but relaxed soon after. She took out her phone to see that her kitten was right on time. She had trained him to wake her at exactly 7:00 am.
She sat up and walked to her closet where she was to pick a outfit for the day."Any ideas buddy?"
She asked her cat making him jump. Into the clothed. He looked around and decided to take her white t-shirt crop top, a black, white and grey flannel, and her black ripped jeans.
"Wow, you have a better style that me. Where did you learn that?"
She asked petting him as an reward getting out a few treats for him before changing.
She looked around her new room admiring all her band and anime posters before walking out the room buddy following right behind."Hey Dark? I'm gonna go for a walk with buddy" she yelled walking towards the door
"Not so quick young lady.. turn around" he said crossing his arms
Falcon sighed turning around
"No crop tops, you know that" he said sighing
"Pleaseeeee Dark- just today? I promise I won't wear them at school?"
She asked giving him puppy eyesDark just sighed and looked down in defeat. He couldn't take the puppy eyes, never could.
"Thanks! Byyyeeee" she said grabbing Buddy walking out the door
She soon enough sat him down and just walked around the neighbourhood.
