Chapter 4

Shawn's POV

It's the next day, and when I woke up I immediately remembered the events of the previous night and grinned widely. Today is my date with Calum?

I'm so confused. That intense gaze that we shared gave me unfamiliar feelings that disoriented me. What am I feeling? I'm straight! I like girls! I'm attracted to FEMALES!!! Yet my feelings towards Calum are more intense than anything I have ever felt for a girl. And the most frightening part is that I don't even know him! I had two interactions with him, TWO! Only one of which was an actual conversation, and a short one at that. I looked at the phone when I realized it had been two hours of thinking about this, as it was 1:00 pm already! Ding, a text from Calum.

Calum: Hey, Shawn. What time should I get you?

Shawn: How about 3ish? Dress casually I know a good lunch/coffee place. :)

Calum: Alright, sounds good. I'll see you in a couple hours ;)

Shawn: Can't wait.

WHAT IS HAPPENING TO MEEEEEE????!!!!

Calum's POV

Okay, I can do this. It's just a date, I've been on dates before. Oh, who am I kidding?! This isn't just a date!!!! This is the biggest date ever, because Shawn is quite literally the most attractive human being I have ever laid eyes on. I'm so nervous, I mean I'm excited but more nervous because come on, he's WAYYYY out of my league.

I'm in his driveway and honestly, I don't know how the fuck I'm gonna get over my nerves, but I'm sure as hell gonna try. So I decided I should text Shawn I'm here.

Calum: Hey I'm here :))

Shawn: k coming

Of course, just as I'm starting to calm myself down, Shawn comes outside. Damn. He climbs into my car in the passengers seat.

"Hey, Shawn."

"Hey, Calum. So I plugged the lunch place in my gps already. Got an aux?" he asks me.

I hand him the aux cord and the directions start to play along with some music. "Your Body is a Wonderland" by John Mayer. I freaking love John Mayer.
