Shalum in Japan

Chapter 2

As Shawn and Lauren's turn to meet the band approached and they were next in line, he locked eyes with one of the band members. A feeling of sudden desire rushed over him, shocking him greatly. 

Shawn was in a deep trance, eyes locked with Calum Hood, when Calum suddenly broke it having to take a picture with a fan. Before Shawn knew it, the fan before him walked away and it was his and Lauren's turn to take pictures, get autographs, etc.

Shawn approached the band and prepared for a picture. Almost instinctively, he stood next to Calum, hugging him. Lauren was on the complete other side, hugging Michael. The pictures were snapped, and Shawn turned to face Calum, introducing himself.

"Hi, I'm Shawn," he said, holding his hand out for Calum to shake it.

"Calum," he replied, shaking his hand for probably a few moments too long.

"I know," Shawn chuckled, eyes locked with Calum the entire time.

It was then evident that Shawn and Lauren had to leave from backstage, and he hugged Calum once more.

"See if you can get alone and find me in 15 by the backstage door," Calum whispered, noticing Lauren.

Shawn grinned as he walked back to Lauren so they could head back.

He decided he needed to get Lauren out of there so he could go meet up with Calum. He was about to text a friend to come get her when...

"That was fun, thanks," Lauren said to Shawn, almost sarcastically, as if she wished she were there with someone else.

"Listen, Lauren. We need to talk," he started. She put her phone in her pocket and looked at him, signalling him to continue. "I've been feeling like our relationship is a bit one sided, and I'm that one side. So I think we need to break up," he told her, sympathetically staring into her empty eyes.

"Yeah, okay," she said, the breakup not phasing her at all. "Kyle is coming to pick me up in 5 anyways."

"Who's Kyle?" he asked, obvious pain in his voice.

"My boyfriend," she replied casually.

"Since when?" he questioned, bracing himself.

"Ummmmm, about...hmmm, like 4 months ago," she answered him.

"Lauren, we've been dating for 7 months! I loved you!"

"Really? Didn't I dump you a while ago?" she asked, sounding confused.

"Um, no," he was hurt.

"Oh, well then it's over," she looks down at her phone. "Ooh! Kyle's here, bye," she waved.

He stands there for a moment, dumbfounded. He had no idea what just happened, but he thought he should probably go find Calum now.
