excessive exclamation points are cool when texting or talking!!
but when youre writing, it just looks weird. don't use more than one exclamation point, it looks like youre just way!! too!! excited!! people see it as the writer being inexperienced rather than the character being excited(or at least i do), and its just annoying. there are a lot of other ways you can show excitement, from the way characters act to how they phrase their sentences
on a similar note: its fine to say "said". your characters do not need to scream, giggle or sigh all the time. im sick of seeing things like "just leave me alone!!"he screamed' like that immediately drops my respect for the character. it is fine for your characters to scream, sure, but consider that most people dont scream at each other that often.
you dont need to spice up your writing with "she mused" "he pouted" etc. unless someone is actually sighing, just say said, spoke etc.
