"eliminated."

as if it was on cue, both renjun and johnny, who were facing one another, stood up abruptly at the exact same time.

there was a split second of a staring contest between those two, until renjun's eyes glowed a bright green...but this time, johnny quickly looked away.

renjun's eyes then returned to its usual shade of brown. before johnny could react quick enough to attack the defenceless renjun, taeyong landed a kick right in johnny's gut.

the latter gasps in pain as he falls to the ground.

meanwhile, hyeji gets off her seat and runs to the entrance of the room. to her surprise, there was not a single person there.

"shit, he's gone." her eyes dart to the door that was left ajar.

hyeji swiftly slammed opened the door and looked towards both sides of the hallway. the door was opened outwards towards her left and to her right was a long walkway. there was not a single person in sight.

she frowns, stepping out in front of the door to close it, but when she turned around, her eyes widened in shock as she saw an unfamiliar face looking back at her with a smirk.

"greetings."

she was immediately flung to the wall behind her as she flinched in pain. her back was throbbing.

she coughed, and tried to get up, but she was automatically pushed down to the ground.

it dawned on her that her enemy had possessed the very same power his grandson had.

the man strides up to her and picks her up with his right hand by her collar. he flashes her an evil smile and his free hand reaches out to wrap around her neck.

"s-stop." her voice came out coarse as she wheezed. it felt like the air inside her throat was being squeezed out.

she unwillingly began tearing up and her eyes travelled onto her enemy's. mark's grandfather had a not so surprising youthful look to him. after all, purebloods were known for...looking younger than expected. for some reason, they aged slower.

his hair was the same dark shade of black as mark's, and so were his eyes, but they were nowhere close to looking like his grandson's.

he had a built very similar to taeyong's.

"the only sure way to kill you, a time controller, is this."

he was very right, because hyeji couldn't even utter a single word out anymore. she couldn't seem to think.

but there was one thing she could think of.

she was going to die.

renjun pov

before me, taeyong had scored a kick to johnny's stomach and the latter collapsed to the ground.

hyeji got off from her seat beside me and ran off towards the entrance.

unfortunately, johnny managed to recover in no time and he stood his ground.

"come on, taeyong." he smiles widely, and taeyong scoffs in disbelief.

"don't blame me if i hit you too hard." the brother of hyeji taunted with a confident smile of his own.

but it soon fades as there was a crashing sound coming from outside.

he instantly looks towards the door with wide eyes and then travels onto me.

he doesn't even need to say anything as i was already halfway out of the room.

once i stepped out of the room, my eyes met with a horrid display before me. hyeji was forced to the wall with a pale face and an unknown man was strangling her.

"lee hyeji!" i yelled, and rushed up to the figure before her, ramming my whole body against the man.

the man lets loose immediately and stumbles a few steps backwards from the shock.

her body falls to the ground as she inhaled sharply.

"are you okay?" i asked, and she glanced up at me with teary eyes and nodded.

i return her nod and adjust my gaze back onto the man...who's name i knew was minjoon.

"you may be very strong, but your age limits you." i tell him, and he laughs.

"we'll see."

beside me, hyeji gets up to her feet with the support of the wall behind her.

i smile as minjoon's darkened eyes met with mine, my eyes glowing green.

minjoon began taking a few steps backward as if he was a puppet on a string, but just as he reached the foot of the stairs...

his eyes glowed a bright red.

i gasp as my eyes started to feel a burning pain and i forced myself to look away from him.

no way! he...he's a mind controller too?

"i apologise for not telling you in advance, young half blood. well then, do you think you can even lay a single finger on me?"

his voice came out as a taunt and i blinked as i stared at the concrete ground, hoping to think of a better plan to escape than the plan i had made beforehand in case it was difficult to escape.

i considered the options we had and decided that there was no other way. hyeji couldn't use her time control powers, or more like, i didn't want her to.

her vision was worsening every time travel she made. if she was going to time travel again, there was a risk of her losing her sight, permanently.

so i made a quick decision right there to proceed with...a plan we called skyfall.
