The library was fairly quiet—quieter than usual, at least—but Seungmin didn't mind the peaceful atmosphere. He was seated at one of the tables in the back of the library near the bookshelf that contained all the fictional novels. His textbooks were sprawled open on the table—a pen in his mouth as he subconsciously bit on it, immersed in trying to solve the calculus problem from his homework assignment.

he cranes his neck to look at the clock on the librarian's desk. it read 4:00. seungmin's eyebrows furrow in confusion. class ended thirty minutes ago, yet somi hadn't showed up for her weekly tutoring session.

"Maybe she forgot that it's Thursday," Seungmin shrugged, coming to understand that Somi had probably forgotten that she had a session today.

He began to pack his belongings, until the subtle sound of the doors opening and closing garnered his attention. His head shot up, only for his eyes to be met with Somi's glossy, puffy ones.

Seungmin noticed the emotional state she was in, concern transforming his face as he slowly made his way towards her.

She noticed how worried he became, causing the ends of her lips to curve up into a tiny smile.

"Hey..." He started softly. "Are you okay?" His agonizing eyes scanned her face, searching for an answer. Seungmin took ahold of her wrist after a few seconds of receiving nothing but silence from the brunette. "What's wrong, Somi? are you hurt?" He questioned, concern depicted clearly on his face.

"I'm sorry for being late, I was–"

"Don't apologize. That's the least of my worries right now. Are you okay?" Seungmin repeated.

Somi's heart danced in joy a little bit, which she knew was wrong. But she couldn't control her feelings, or the quick beating of her heart at the way Seungmin held her wrist carefully.

Just the look he gave her sent chills up her spine, or maybe it was the way his dark hair fell perfectly above his brown eyes—eyes that she constantly lost herself in.

"I-I need to go," Somi stuttered, breaking from her thoughts as she released herself from his grip. The tears shone in her eyes was enough for Seungmin to refuse letting Somi walk out in the state she was in.

"I'll walk you home," Seungmin insisted, running back to grab his belongings from the table he was previously seated at.

"No!" She said almost too quickly.

A look of surprise crossed his face. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to yell at you, Min—Seungmin," She corrected. "I just really– I need to go."

Before Seungmin could say anything, she was out of the library in the blink of an eye.
