Yuzu's POV
"Meiiiiii... Come on, I didn't mean it!" "Yuzu please give me the pleasure of shutting up." I pout and flop down back into bed. "I didn't know that that.... Thing was your project on history!" 'Actually I did know that, but it reminded me of a certain someone...' "Well then, you should have asked me before destroying my school project. I worked really hard to try and match the Dragon emblem on the replica." 'I could show you my real one but you would surely ask many questions...' "Look, I'm sorry, but I promise I'll make it up to you!" Then, an idea struck my head. "I know! Mei, please wait for me!" "Yuzu please, just don't do anything stupid... Wait, where are you going?" "No time to talk!" Wearing a jacket and my shoes, I get out of the house, ignoring Mei's questions from inside it. 'Now, if only I could find some good metal...' After searching around shops for finding something that at least resembled gold I found some unclean gold pieces and bought them for almost 50 dollars. 'Whew, that is a relief. I thought that I would have to go to my safe back in....back in....' I didn't let myself finish my thought. What mattered now was making a replica of the metallion for Mei. Seeing that it wasn't dark yet, I went to the closest park, where people have barbecues to light up a fire. Fortunately, nobody was there to witness what I was about to do. Lighting up a fire on the ground behind a tree, I dropped the gold pieces on the fire, waiting for them to melt. 'Now, for the hard part...'
Mei's POV
I have been waiting for Yuzu for the last hour but she still hasn't come home. It's currently 18:30 and I'm starting to worry about her. Just when I'm about to call her when I hear knocking on the door. I open it and I recognize Yuzu's smiling face. Pulling her inside I close the door. "Where were you? You could have called me! I was worried about you! -" 'Why did I just say that?!' "Sorry Mei, but look! I told you I would make it up to you! Hold out your hand!" I do as I am told and Yuzu places a medallion on my hand. "But this even looks real! Where did you find this?" "Does it really matter? I told you I would make it up to you! Here is a real replica of that medallion you made!" "But Yuzu, I cannot accept this... What about your project?" "Nah, I'll figure something out, I don't like school anyway." "Well, if you say so. Thank you." I kiss her cheek and pull away quickly, going for my bag. "N-No p-problem! Just glad t-to help!" 'Heh, I made her blush again... Really though, where did she find this? Wait is that a....!' Turning the medallion over, I find a some red spots on the metal. "This... Is this blood?..." I shake off my thoughts and go to the kitchen to rub the stains off. 'Why would the medallion have blood on it? It's not like Yuzu died or killed someone to get this... She is... Well, Yuzu!'
Yuzu's POV
'Wait, did I clear the medallion before handing it to Mei? Well, since she hasn't screamed yet, that must mean she didn't notice it. That's good.' I go inside our shared bedroom and on the shelf where I keep my manga. Pushing them aside, I grab a piece of cloth with something inside. 'Good, she didn't find it yet. I don't know how I could explain to her my origins, or this medallion...' "Yuzu, the food is ready I think! Come over." "Coming!" I head to the kitchen, check the soup to see if it has boiled and with the help of Mei make the table and the dishes. "Idatakimashu!" We both say and start eating. "Yuzu?" "Yes?" "Where is mother?" "Mom? She will be gone for a week. Job issues. She is overseas." "I see..." After that, silence came over us. But even then, it was kind of comforting. There was no hidden tension between us. Just a quiet dinner. After we were done I got up to wash the plates but Mei placed a hand on top of mine. "Wait, I will do the dishes today." "No way. You had a busy day at the council today." "And you troubled yourself with my project." "But I ruined your last one!" "Yuzu, no complaints." "But-Ugh! Alright! I wash, you dry." "Deal-" "But! You'll let me massage your shoulders. I saw the way you rubbed them all day." I look deep into those amethyst orbs of hers. "Fine..." "YAY!" I yell and start washing. After we are done I guide Mei to the bedroom. We change into pajamas and grab Mei by the shoulders. Guiding her to sit down on the bed, I start rubbing her shoulders, gradually putting more pressure. "Where is that point..." "What point?" "The center of your tension on your should-Oh! Here it is!" With 3 practiced movements a loud crack echoes on the room and Mei groans in satisfaction. "How did you do that...?" She asks turning to my direction. "I learned that trick from an old friend." "Really? Well, I suppose I should thank you for that. It was fantastic." "Told you!" I smile at her and kiss her cheek. She blushes slightly and turns her head a bit, pulling me in a kiss. I blush and smile, admiring this adorable version of Mei I can only see. "Well, goodnight then." She says and turns on her side. "Nighty-Night..." I say and lay down. 'This doesn't feel right...' Feeling bold, I wrap my arms around Mei's waist and pull her closer. She doesn't object and we both fall in deep slumber. "I love you..." "Me too..." I hear her reply and fall into unconsciousness.
