She grinned. This was it. This was when she would finally take my heart. I closed my eyes, ready for death to become me.

All I felt was a cold hand around my throat...squeezing. I couldn't breathe. I opened my eyes and saw Regina smiling at me with her hand around my throat.

She started to lift me up and I could feel my eyes start in burn. My throat was becoming dry. I just had to say it. I owed her this.

"I'm sorry."

"What?"

I could feel her hands start to loosen from around my neck. She dropped me to the ground. I started coughing voilently as I fell to the floor and touched my throat lightly to feel if there was any swelling. My eyes were bloodshot and there were tears streaming from them.

I looked at Regina. She was just staring at me blankly. She was hurt. She deserved to be. I was the reason she wasn't happy. I was the reason she had missed out her chance on true love. Now she couldn't find her happy ending and it was all my fault.

"I asked you to keep a secret y/n. A secret. Why couldn't you do that. You're the reason I'm like this. You're the reason for me being unhappy. Why? Why couldn't you keep the secret?"

"Because I was a stupid little girl who thought she was doing the right thing when  down she knew she was making the biggest mistake of her life and betraying her friend."

"You were my friend. How could you do that to me? I loved Daniel. And because of you, he is dead."

"I hate you," she said with tears streaming down our cheeks. I couldn't say anything. I was tounge-tied.

Suddenly Regina waved her hand and we were surrounded my purple smoke while our surroundings changed instantly.
