AUTHOR'S POV

Taking a deep breath, Jimin slide his card, the detector turning green to show the door had unlocked. He grabs onto the handle, but doesn't open it quite yet. The feeling of excitement and nervousness swirl in his stomach. He had studied so hard to be able to help others, and now was his chance, he couldn't afford to mess this up.

Collecting the metal medicine tray assigned to room 407, he exhales, before pushing the heavy door open.

The room wasn't much different to his own room. Bare white walls, a small chair set beside the bed along with a small side table, the curtains drawn, not letting in any of the fresh sun's light. In the corner was a gurney bed, a pile of white blankets on top of it.

Cautiously, Jimin made his way towards the pile, unsure whether or not to wake it up. "He needs to take his medicine, so.." He slides the metal tray onto the side table, trying to be quiet before he slowly reaches towards the heap of blankets.

A pale, slim hand shoots out from within the folds, taking a tight grip on Jimin's wrist before he could touch the bundle. A shocked gasped escape from the nurses lips, startled at being grabbed.

The blankets shuffle, before revealing curly, black locks. Gaunt pale skin that complimented the patients dark eyes, and pale pink lips turned downwards into a frown. Upon closer inspection, Jimin noticed numerous little red dots decorating the dark haired man's arms, from his inner elbow to wrist.

Retrieving his hand from the hold the older man had on him, he cleared his throat, attempting to reclaim his professional aura.

"Min Yoongi?" He asked softly. A grumble answered him, as the sounds of the blanket being moved sounded, Yoongi slowly sitting up.

"I will be your new nurse. You may call me Nurse Park" He spoke, making his way towards the drawn curtains. He sighed in contentment as he took in the view. Despite how the movies typically described asylum's to be horrific, Saint Kim's was truly beautiful. It was modern, designed with white rocks. Flower beds adored the front, and he could see some other employees pushing wheelchair with patients on it.

Turning back around, he sat down in the chair, and opened the mental tray containing the medicine, not missing the way Yoongi stared at him the entire time.

His hand ghosted over the syringe, before second guessing himself, opting to liquidize the medication. He calmly stirred the liquid, before Yoongi's voice broke him out of his concentration.

"Why?" Jimin looked up, seeing Yoongi sitting idly on the bed, his curly locks ruffled from rolling around in bed. Despite not even having a conversation with him, Jimin felt as though he already knew Yoongi's personality; Caring, but doesn't show it. Hard-working; but would rather lazy about, and sleep his life away.

"Why what?" He questions back.

"Why care for me? For us in this hospital. You'll drive yourself mad, all the others did." Yoongi spoke calmly, in an almost knowing tone.

"I have always wanted to do this. Everyone is a human, and I want to help others." The nurse replied, a small smile gracing his face as he thinks of why he chose this career. Yoongi remained silent.

"Here is your medication, please take it." Jimin encouraged as he gave the small plastic cup into the patient's hand, mentally patting his back as Yoongi drank it silently. He gave the cup back to Jimin before immediately rolling back within the fold of his white blankets, only his black hair popping out from atop.

"You're strange..." His voice came muffled from under the covers. Jimin could only lightly chuckle as he collected his tray. He walked towards the door, his hand reaching out to grab the silver handle.

"Thank you...Jimin"

A confused yet grateful smile graces Jimin's face as he steps out of the dark room.

"You're welcome, Yoongi."

He places his now used tray back onto the cart before pushing it forward.

"Next.." He wonders aloud, "...409..." He stops in front of the door, reading the name off of the same plaque beside the door.
