zakia enjoyed dinner more then she had planned. the boys were more then generous and also more then embarrassing. during dinner, nick had the time to sneak away and inform a few waiters that it was her birthday and with in the next ten minutes, they were chanting a happy birthday song to zakia who could only shy away with a smile on her face.

the boys had to go after her birthday dinner which sucked, but zion made sure to let her know he would be back after the last show which was a bout a week away, not including the next two shows in between.

"how was the dinner?" zakia sighed out as she entered the house, quickly kicking her shoes off. she dropped the several gift bags on the floor, and fell out on the couch. "no ma'am," her mom came over, swatting her thigh, "i got company comin', get your shit and take it to your room,"

"of course," zakia slickly mumbled under her breath. she sighed once more before getting up to gather her things all together. "dinner was great. those boys are something else mom,"

"put your things away and tell me about it," her mom said. she was in one of those moods. her company was most likely an old ex or some new guy from those dating apps she kept signing up for. "put on something else too,"

zakia followed her moms orders, heading up to her room. the first thing she did was put her shoes away. she then hung up the things from the mall and put the money up in the safe her mom didn't know about. after getting her things situated, she changed into something more casual. a simple long sleeve black top and a pair of grey leggings from forever 21.

she grabbed her phone and headed back downstairs to rant about how good her night was.

"okay," her mom spoke up as soon as zakia came back, "how was it and which one of them is ya' lil friend?"

zakia rolled her eyes, "first of all. they took me to the mall and bought me a couple things and then we just hung out till dinner. they made them people sing to me and i was so embarrassed,"

"wow," her mom was shocked, "you wouldn't even let me do it if i was there,"

"it was out of the blue,"

"so, the tall one with the dreads?"

"his name is zion and we claim each other, but not exactly," one thing zakia loved about her mother, was that she was easy to talk to at times. when she wasn't in a fucked up mood, her mom was very loud and goofy and interested in everything.

"have y'all had sex? his tongue sure was down your throat the last time i seen ya-"

"momma! no, we haven't and i wouldn't let him," zakia laughed.

her mother smirked, "anyway, i have some friend's coming over. dominoes and drinking,"

"that's cool," zakia didn't care, "i'm super tired, i'm going to go and take a long nap," she stood up and her body immeadialty streatching out.

"alright," her mom said no further.

no i love you or anything. it kind of hurt, but it was something she got used to a while ago.

as she made it to her room, she shut the door and sighed very loudly and iver dramatic to release a little frustration.

she didn't know why she was suddenly upset and it was a trait she really did hate with a passion.

while cuddling into her bed, pillow wedged between her cheek and shoulder while scrolling through her instagram, her phone vibrates and it was a text from edwin.

something about meeting up to talk when they get back, but she decided to drift off the sleep and not answer it.
