Chapter 6 - The Meeting

Today was the day we had a big meeting. This is the first time we will meet our benefactor, Arthur Tressler.

I had to get up early because we were going out for lunch. I had showered and blow dried my hair. Originally I was going to wear shorts, T-shirt and my leather jacket but Henley said no. She took me shopping yesterday for 'something pretty'. I don't do pretty.

Don't get me wrong, I love shopping. Just not when I am forced to try on a million different outfits that I hate. After saying no to almost everything Henley picked out I bought a short floaty dress. The top was fitted and it was floaty from the waist down. It looked nice but wasn't really me.

I guess I have to make an effort if we want this guy to like us so I slipped the dress on, quickly applied some makeup then grabbed my leather jacket and high heeled shoes.

"Your not wearing that jacket" Henley said as I walked into the living room to join the others.

"You're already making me wear this dress, I have no pockets so I need my jacket" I explained

"Why?" Danny butted in.

"Pockets to keep my card deck in" I said showing them the deck and putting it back in my pocket again.

"Fine you can keep the jacket" Henley agreed.

We walked out of the flat and towards the new Audi A4 convertible s-line I had convinced Merritt to buy us.

Danny took the keys out of his pocket and tossed the in the air and caught them again. He kept repeating this until we reached the car. Just as we were about I get in I snatched the keys mid air.

"Hey, what the-" I cut him off

"I drive"

"Do you even have a license?!" He snapped.

"Yup" I pulled the licence card from the back of my phone case to show him.

I unlocked the car and got I the drivers seat. Jack sat in the passenger side and the others got in the back. The journey only took about 20 minutes which mostly consisted of Danny telling me to slow down, Merritt trying to flirt with Henley which annoyed Danny and Jack and I singing to the radio.

We arrived at the most beautiful building. I followed Merritt inside. It was huge. Massive crystal chandeliers hung from the ceiling, red velvet chair sat around dark oak furniture. The whole place looked amazing.

"Now do you understand why you needed a nice dress?" Henley questioned

"Yeah, but I don't look nice in it. Couldn't I have just worn shorts?"

"No"

"I think it looks nice on you" Jack whispered

"Yeah, me too" Merritt said.

"It's okay for you boys, you only need a suit or a blazer, dress shopping takes ages"

Some young man dressed in a suit lead us to our table. An elderly gentleman with white hair and wrinkles was already seated. He was dressed in a dark blue suit and cream shirt.

Next to him sat a young woman, probably mid twenties. She has a beautiful lilac dress on that fit her figure and made her eyes stand out.

"Ah, you must be the Five Horsemen?" Arthur said. He had an English accent like me.

"Mr Tressler, what a pleasure it is to finally meet you" Danny extended his hand to shake Arthur's.

"Please sit down" he gestured to the five empty seats.
