Chapter 4: You're not welcome back

Adrianne's POV

"So, what happened yesterday?" Narinig ko'ng tanong ni Audrey while shaking my body. "Tell me, may ginawa ba sayo si Sir? Huh!? Meron ba!?"

"W--"

"Ano!? May ginawa siya sayo!!!?" Grabe, ang lakas ng sigaw niya, "OMG! Ang swerte mo naman pala!! Ugh, how I wish ako nalang ikaw." Uwahhhhh! Siraulo 'to! Akala ko concerned sakin tapos yun lang pala, ang sama niyaaaaa!!!!!

"I hate you." Yan nalang ang nasabi ko, bakit ko kasi naging bestfriend 'to.

"Duhh. Tell me the truth, ano ba'ng nangyari kahapon? I saw you nung uwian eh, tumatakbo ka from Sir Keith's office." Whaattt? So nakita niya ako???

"Nothing happened yester--" Natigilan ako dahil biglan nag-beep yung phone ko, there was a text message from my mom.

"Oh, wow," Audrey's lips parted. "Read it, baka narealize niya na may anak pala siya."

I opened the message and my heart almost melted.

From: Mommy<3
Anak are you busy? Can you go home na? I cooked dinner na kasi and I'm so excited na makasabay ko ulit kayo kumain. I also have a surprise for you!!

Muntik nang agawin at ibato ni Audrey yung phone ko, buti nalang hindi niya nakuha sakin. Is this even real? Or is this just a dream? Well kung panaginip man 'to, sana wag na akong magising.

"Wait, what does she mean by 'kayo'? Look, read it again." Audrey pointed on the third sentence which says 'I'm so excited na makasabay ulit KAYO'

"H-huh? Does that mean hindi lang ako?" I asked myself. Who could it be?

I gripped my phone at nag-reply ako kay Mommy.

To: Mommy<3
I'm on my way home na po. What do you mean by 'kayo'? Sino pa bukod sakin mom?

Ibababa ko palang yung phone ko pero biglang nag-beep ulit, another text message from mom.

From: Mommy<3
Just go home, we'll wait for you.

After ko yun basahin, kinuha ko na yung mga gamit ko. It's only 4:56PM kaya hindi ako masyadong ma-ttraffic pauwi. Dapat kasi dito ako mag-sleepover kanila Audrey dahil walang pasok bukas eh.

"You're going home na?" Audrey asked.

"Yea. Kailangan ko'ng malaman kung sino yung sinasabi ni mommy eh."

Audrey rolled over and she faced me with a serious face, "Pano kung bumalik na siya?"

I smirked. "He's not welcome anymore."

Kinuha ko na yung susi ng kotse ko then I smiled at Audrey, "Sorry Auds ha, next time nalang ako mag-overnight dito. Goodnight"

Lumabas na ako ng kwarto niya then nagpaalam na ako kay Tita Erica, Audrey's mom. I walked my way papunta sa kotse ko at nag-drive na pauwi.

Nasa tapat na ako ng bahay namin when I spotted another car na nakapark sa garage, the car was new to my sight but my heart started beating faster.

Binuksan ko yung gate then I parked next to the car. Unti-unti akong naglakad papasok sa main door but before I stepped in, a very familiar trace of fragrance slammed onto my face. Posible nga kayang bumalik na siya?

"Anak, you're here," Bati sakin ni Mommy, she hugged me tightly, "Tara, I cooked your favorite food." Hinila niya ako papasok sa loob ng bahay, nagpahila nalang ako.

When I entered the living room, nilagay ko na yung car keys ko sa key holder then I placed my bag on the coffee table. I glanced at the sofa then I saw two suitcases there and a luggage, "Mommy, kanino po yung mga yun?" I asked pointing on the luggages.

"You'll see, Anak." Mom smiled sweetly. Ngayon ko nalang ulit nakita ang ngiting 'yan, after 8 years ay nagbalik na ang mommy ko, after longing for almost half of my life ay bumalik na ulit ang mommy ko. After 8 years ay tinawag na niya ulit akong....

"Adrianne?? Anak!?" Narinig ko ang boses na nagpatindig ng balahibo ko. Kaya pala bumalik na si mommy sa dati, dahil bumalik na din pala ang nang-iwan sakanya, samin.

I looked at mom and happiness was very visible in her eyes, I saw the guy in front of me with his arms wide opened, hinihintay na yakapin ko siya.

"Mommy what the hell is this, huh!? Ano 'to!!? Bakit nandito 'yang mangloloko na 'yan!? Isn't it enough na pinagpalit niya tayo sa ibang babae!?" I couldn't handle it anymore, I bursted into tears and it started flowing on my cheeks.

"A-anak.. Tama na.." Umiiyak na din si mommy, the guy in front of me has a shocked expression. What does he expect? Na maging masaya akong bumalik siya!? To be honest nga mas magiging masaya ako kung hindi nalang siya bumalik!

"Mommy naman eh! Why did you let him go back pa!? Sino ba siya!? If I know hindi na siya parte ng pamilyang 'to! At wala na siyang parte sa buhay natin!!" I shouted as much as I can, parang mauubos na nga ang boses ko.

"Adrianne.. You don't have the right na pagtaasan kami ng boses ng mommy mo. She's still your mother and I'm still your father. Nanggaling ka parin sa dugo't laman namin." Sabat niya.

I laughed sarcastically. "Yes Mister? Who are you to say that, huh!? Sino ka para sabihin that you're my father!? After leaving us miserable, after leaving us for someone na pinag-ubusan mo ng pera na inipon niyo ni mommy, babalik ka pa!? Anong tingin mo samin? A toy that you can get back after you're tired playing other toys!?"

He sighed, itinuro ko ang pinto. "You can go out now Mister, before the police are the one to send you out."

"No! Walang aalis! Alex, you're not leaving!" Mommy interrupted. What the f*ck!?

"It's okay Grace, I'll leave for the sake of our daughter." Sabi naman ng magaling na lalaking 'to.

"No.. Please anak, let your Father stay." -Mom

"Para ano pa mommy? Para ubusin niya ulit ang pera natin sa ibang babae!? Para lokohin at iwanan niya ulit tayo!? How I wish other people were right, that my father's dead--" Napahawak nalang ako sa pisngi ko na ngayon siguro ay namumula.

Mommy just slapped me..

"Pick over us! Ako na anak mo o 'yang asawa mo'ng ginawang miserable ang buhay natin para sa ibang babae!?" I can't help but to just say all those words.

"I-ikaw.." Sabi ko na, ako ang pipiliin ni mommy..

"Ang umalis sa bahay na 'to"
