<<Virgil pov>>

I stop dead in my tracks, everyone in the office turns their heads to look at me.
As the center of attention, I awkwardly walk inside, closing the door behind me. The headmaster motions for me to sit down. I do.

I glance over to the two strangers. There's a tall man, probably a body builder.. wearing a dark trenchcoat, dark brown hair combed out of his face. He has dark eyes, brown.. he's wearing something dark under his coat, along with grey slacks that are cuffed.

There's a woman with him she's smaller, thinner.. She's got dirty blonde hair that's tied back into a pony tail. She's wearing a maroon scarf and a smaller trenchcoat, that's grey. She's wearing brown boots and some jeans. Green eyes, groomed brows.. no make up. A few freckles here and there.
Neither have any body modifications or anything distinct.

"This is Mr. Blackcoat. And Ms. Vilor. They're interested in you, so I've made arrangements." The headmaster spoke, handing the file to this man.

He has the same last name as me. Oddly. Maybe a coincidence. I find myself lost in thought while nodding absent-mindedly to his words.

In my room, I'm sitting in bed while Ms. Vilor sits at my desk, and this "Mr. Blackcoat" guy stands near the door, watching me.

"So what do you like to do?" The woman asks quietly.

"I like to write.. and feed the crows.."

It's true. There's not much to do here. No friends and nun punishment is what I'm dealing with. Usually I don't eat what they give me. It's low-quality food. But I sneak a piece of bread for the crows.

"What do you write about?" She smiles. The eyes of the man stayed on me.

"Poems.. I write poems." I answer quietly. I'm unsure about these people.

"May I see one?" She asks.

"The birds see what I do
They've been watching
All my life

They're beautiful
Mysterious and
Wise

They've watched me
Be birthed

They'll watch me
When I leave"

I finish, closing my notebook.
She's astonished, as though she hasn't heard anything like it.

"That was amazing. I, myself, love poetry.. how long have you been writing?" She smiles. She smiles a lot.

"For a few months.." my voice stays quiet and almost breaks. These people are.. odd.
When I walked into the office, I felt it.
It. I felt the feeling again.

That feeling of secureness. That being watching over me. It was radiant from him.

This was no guardian angel.
