The Avengers meet Peter

Thanksgiving

So this doesn't really have anything to do with the story and no rogues are in it. I just wanted to write a chapter with Tony and his family during Thanksgiving.
Tony loved the holidays. It was the only time his father ever even tried to be nice to him. So, he decided to invite Peter, May, Happy, and Rhodey. Pepper, was of course already going to be there. It wasn't really a party, just a get together with everyone. When Peter and May got there, he saw that they brought some of their own food. Peter reassured that he helped and that it wasn't that bad. So now, they were all watching TV in the living room, waiting for all the food to be done.
"Alright, what're we watching first?" Tony asked.
"I know I good horror movie." Peter offered and everyone except May were surprised.
"You, Peter Parker, like horror movies?" Rhodey asked and Peter nodded.
"Alright, well, what is it?" Pepper asked. One hour later, they were all (except May, Pepper, and Peter) over watching the horror movie Mama (my favorite horror movie).
"How can a horror movie be that sad?!" Rhodey cried and Tony and Happy nodded in agreement.
"Anyway, food's done." Pepper announced and everyone jumped at that.
At the table sat May, Peter, Tony, Pepper, Rhodey, and Happy in that order. Tony smiled at everyone, happy that they were here. There were many jokes, conversations, and laughter. Tony honestly never thought he'd be here. Sitting at a holiday dinner with people he cared about.
Pepper. She was his girlfriend and future wife, thanks to Peter. He doesn't know what he'd do without her. She was the only woman (besides May) that hadn't use him to get to anything, she just loves him for him, no matter how annoying he could be.
Rhodey. He was his best friend. He honestly felt like a brother to him. Without him he'd probably still be a big jerk to most people and ended up like Howard. And thank God for Rhodey because the world could not deal with another Howard.
Happy. He had been a long time friend to Tony. He knew that he could quit anytime, but put up with him still. Happy was also like a brother to him and had helped a whole lot in the past that's way beyond his actual job.
Peter. Peter was like the son he never had. He had stopped drinking because of the kid. He felt a protectivness he never felt before, not even with Pepper, parental protectivness. The kid was practically his mini me, only a lot nicer and less messed up. Tony wasn't an idiot, he knew that the Vulture really messed him up. He saw the aftermath of the fight, and heaven forbid what Peter looked like after it. He should have never taken the suit, but he did. He decided that taking the kid's best protection was a suitable punishment, and he got hurt because of it. And what does he do? Give him a poor apology and offer a spot on the avengers as an actual apology instead of giving a real one. But the kid stuck around and even said that it was his fault. Tony never got to respond because the kid had to run off to do something important after that. After Peter had stuck around after everything and looked at Tony no different, he knew that the kid had somehow become one of the few people that he'd lay his life down for. It also meant, that just like Pepper, Rhodey, and Happy, that he loved to spoil him and gave him all his trust, which Peter never abused unless a life or death situation. Such as, hacking into the suit again because he needed on the features in order to fight a few Hydra agents he saw, and turned it back right after. After that, Tony allowed him to get rid of the Training Wheels protocol.
These four people were the most important people in Tony's life. In fact, they all were the only ones that had any part in his will. They all got equal portions of his money. Pepper and Peter probably had the most of his will though. Pepper had the tower. And Peter? He was the heir to Stark Industries. Pepper couldn't have a baby, so he had to find another heir and then Peter happened. It also meant that he got the compound. And if Pepper died first, then he would also get the tower. They were that important to him. So when you would ask him, what was he thankful for? Well, he'd tell you his family. And if you knew him well enough, you'd know who he was talking about.
Sorry for the short chapter. I'm also working on another story that won't be published until this story is finished, which has an actual plot. Happy Thanksgiving!
